Potentially Cursed, or severe building deteriorating. I genuinely suspect both as I have handfuls of years of experience in general residential and commercial properties, I have yet to be able to provide myself a reasonable explanation for all the coincidentally mysterious events that transpired within. At first it started as concerning things we noticed, busted locked on neighboring doors, prybar marks on our door, balcony door closed but does not lock. The environment looks straight out of the “Backrooms” full yellowish beige 2 tone hallways, all seeming leading nowhere but endless matching corridors. We called the elevator the first time, it didn’t come, we called it again, still didn’t come, called it numerous more times, still didn’t arrive. Then and when I say out of thin air, a male staff member that was definitely not with us seconds prior appears out of nowhere, no door close, simply appears from behind us, walks past, never looking at us, never saying a single word, walks over to a random button at the end of the line of elevators and presses it, seconds later the elevator doors open, before we can say anything, the gentleman disappears beyond a staff only door. Creeped out with the events that just took place, we decided it was a coincidence, tried not to judge. About 30 min later we find ourselves back in the room wanting to go get food, we leave call the elevator with the mystery button, it appears. As we walk in, the elevator continues shift more and more uncomfortably as each one of our party of 4 entered the elevator, in comfortable with the excessive movement, we decided to take the stairs. Never pressing the buttons in the elevator, we descend 1 floor down to the first floor. Upon passing the elevator the same elevator we just called to the second floor, is now opening in front of us. The part that through us off is we were just leaving the stairwell, non of us would have had enough time to call the elevator, in addition to that, as the elevator doors opened it was discovered to be unoccupied, elevators are not designed to cycle floors, they remain dormant at the floor they last stopped at until they get called to a floor. So that leaves us all with the question, why did this elevator descend on its own…. The lobby was also empty other than a singular staff operating the front desk across the lobby from said elevators. If that’s not suspicious enough, we encountered yet another even weirder encounter. Upon return to our room from dinner, we decide to check the pool out, it’s located in the basement. We call the elevator exactly as before, it arrived, we step in, the doors shut, a few second pause, then the doors open again. Almost as if someone called the elevator. Yet upon the doors opening we are greeted with the vacant, silent erie hallway we were just standing in. Confused, we pressed the basement floor again. Same thing happened. At this point we have gotten far too uncomfortable with what had already taken place so we decide to take the stairs yet again, this time vowing to never take the elevator the remainder of our stay. We make our way to the basement only to be met with an even quieter, creepier, backroom styled layout. Eventually found the pool. Discovered it’s closed. Upon making out way back to the stairs, a door caught our eye, it had an odd name. While standing in the elevator room questioning the purpose of this ballroom styled room, the out of order elevator that has never been open during our entire stay, randomly chimes and opens behind us. We slowly turn out to confirm what we feared happened. Let me remind you at no point did we run into or see another soul in our vicinity other than my fiance and I. Nobody could have called the elevator, the elevator wasn’t even operational, it rested at the bottom of the elevator shaft, so far down it was 2-3 feet lower than the elevator doors. If we didn’t call the elevator, and the elevator physically never moved, who called the doors to open. If THAT didn’t make most people run, we had enough of the stranger occurrences, and headed for the stairs, doing so while passing directly in front of elevator 3, it randomly opened, no one inside, no one called it, no one used that elevator to get to the basement as we have been in the basement the whole time and would have heard the screeching elevator and doors from across the hotel and would have saw someone exiting the elevator. That did not happen. If that’s not weird enough, the lights by the elevators would randomly kick on and off, sometimes to indicate the elevator arriving, other times it was multiple lights, but only 1 elevator arrived. On a later experience, when trying to use the elevator, it had moved in a beyond concerning manner, that forced us to use the stairs in fear it may decide to plummet all the way while we were on it. Let me remind you we did not have the time to select our destination. However upon arriving at the floor of our choice, the exact elevator we just stood in a couple floors up randomly opened in front of us as we walked past it, is if something wanted us to get on that elevator, we saw the elevator doors open from a closed position but nobody was in the lobby, nobody was in the elevator. I’m not a very paranormal believer however, I’ve seen a few unexplainable events, and this one by far tops it. We have refused to use the elevator, even upon check out carrying our luggage down the stairs instead of the elevator. The building is in a deteriorating state, equipment is beyond outdated, keycards do not work for doors other than your guest room, keeping the key card close to electronics disables your hotel keycard requiring reprogramming. Wall mounted units shaking to the point the lamp in the room was rocking. Hall way lights and chandeliers flickers randomly, never consistently. Neighboring guest rooms have busted locks, our door had a mark closely resembling as if a prybar may have been used to break the door open. All advertised amenities are closed and never used. The advertised restaurant only serves alcohol as the kitchen is not operational. The advertised pool and sauna were locked and not accessible specifically during posted operating hours. The balcony sliding door shuts but does not lock. And various other miscellaneous issues that arose during our stay.
If you love your life and wants a comfortable hotel, this is not the place, if you want to feel like the star in Final Destination, this is your opportunity. We later discovered 2 major sore spots EVERYONE should be made aware of before deciding to book here. First is it has been documented through certain records that this location has failed inspection and was fined by OSHA previously for hazardous conditions and is evidently lingering in the disarray it once was. Secondly although public records don’t disclose deaths, hidden sources uncovered numerous deaths that have occurred on the property that may play some part in the unexplained events. Take this with a grain of salt, this is simply what we experienced however the “haunted environment” has been mentioned by many other guest prior.
