Crowne Plaza Cleveland Airport by IHG

It was overall a pleasant hotel.

The room to which I was originally assigned hadn’t been cleaned. I had to go back to the reception desk and was reassigned to another room that was clean. The restaurant was very warm in temperature and was out of many items listed on the menu.

Location

A real disappointment — definitely not worth the money. The place is old and neglected. There was a huge gap between the wall and the air conditioner letting in freezing cold air; I had to use towels to block it. No complimentary coffee in the room. When I went to reception on Saturday night to ask, the staff looked completely lost — they had no idea what was going on. Breakfast was the worst part. Reheated food, almost no fruit or cereal options. I had to go to Aldi to buy my own breakfast. The lifts stopped working on Saturday night, causing chaos. Some guests coming back from the Exhibition Centre — including people with hip surgery — had to climb up to the third and even fifth floors. My bed was never made during the entire stay. When I asked about it, they said I had to request housekeeping because they were short-staffed. How was I supposed to know that? No one mentioned it at check-in. The wardrobe doors were jammed, so I left my clothes in my suitcase. The fridge didn’t work either — a real issue since there were no vegan breakfast options and I needed to store some food. For the price, the service was terrible. I genuinely think I deserve my money back.

The staffs unprofessional no manager who can contact. We were put in a room that not even clean, the bed not made, the bathroom not clean as well. I got to leave as soon as I saw the room. Until now I have not received my refund back yet. There was no customer service at all. I got to know that that hotel was under new management that is why there no manager that we can talk to. Im waiting and keep calling back but I keep get run a round just to talk to manager to get my refund back.

At this point everything has been said about how poor this hotel is so I can't add anything new. It's obvious that management/owners are just taking customers money and could care less about the property and customer service.

Not a bad location

It is close to the airport and has plenty of parking.

Absolute worst hotel experience from the second we walked into the lobby - it smelled - the woman at the front desk was rude to the point of absurdity and couldn’t answer any questions - we came a day early for a hockey tournament for kids to swim and families hangout and it was “closed” and the employees just shrugged - I will sleep in my car before I ever consider staying at a Crowne Plaza again

Convenient location. Super fast check in. Clean comfortable room.

Barely any hot water in the morning.

The location was great. Close to many restaurants with transportation needed. Staff is accommodating. Airport shuttle available for 24 hrs.

Cost is a bit higher than most. Facility is a little dated. No hot water was available during my stay.
