Sheraton Grand Sacramento

Stayed here while attending a conference. The main lobby was under renovation but that didn't affect my stay. My room was large and newly renovated. No issues with check in, and the staff I met were all pleasant. Big-nice- surprise for me was the breakfast buffet for $10 in the second floor lounge. It's free for Silver bonvoy members. Great coffee and pastries and fresh fruits. I am not usually a big eater, but here I went back for seconds. (I am coming from the east coast, where fruits are not that great tasting outside a very short growing season. ) Would definitely recommend a stay here!

Nice hotel, very nice staff, centrally located.

We just returned home after our quick stay at the Sheraton Grand Sacramento Hotel in Sacramento, CA. We were in the area & didn’t want to deal with the long drive home. I saw that the Sheraton had a special rate (probably due to construction at hotel) so I jumped on it. I am a Platinum Elite Marriott Bonvoy member so we were upgraded to a newly remodeled suite &, since they had a great club lounge, we had complimentary breakfast & snacks. They offer $45/day valet parking or you can self-park in the garage across the street for $30/day (which we did). Hotel is centrally located & close to many attractions like Old Sacramento, the Zoo and Train Museum. Highly recommend!

This hotel fails on the fundamentals. The Sheraton Club is pretty worthless when almost the entire 3 day stay the coffee machine doesn’t work. When one is paying substantially more than a stay at surrounding hotels, at least have a working coffee machine. Too much to ask. Further, upon checking in I was told that my first night would be shown as a no show fee because I checked in late after a delayed flight, needlessly complicating the stay and creating an explanation I have to give to my accounting department. For no reason. I don’t want to hear excuses about hotel systems. Arriving late in the evening is not a “no show.” Stop mischaracterizing your guests’ stays. The suite felt like an awkward event space, with multiple high top tables and high chairs in it, as through I was going to throw a party. If I wanted to sleep in an event space I would have asked for one. I chose this property because after a rigorous few weeks of travel I wanted a better experience. Instead, this hotel generates needless complications. Back to the Hyatt.
