The staff sucks

The first room was not clean and there was no hot water. Room number 103. The second room they moved me to was dirty with torn curtains. The bathtub and shower curtain was filthy. Needless to say I did not stay at the hotel.

Multiple Missing or burnt out light bulbs, clogged and dingy shower, weird smell in the hall way, hallway did appear to look clean though.

Hotel is run down needs repairs and good paint job. No hot water. Had to run water for awhile before it got hot. No coffee pits in room hot watrt in coffee setvice not hot in lobby. Had to use micro wave to have hot water for tea. Food first morning wss empty and then when told serversl times ginally put food out. But was cold. I had to takebit to my room and micro wave it so I could eat it. Muffins were stale. 2nd morning not much better.

The front desk worker was in the the beginning very unpleasant, but after the checkout she even surprised me with a smile?

This place is absolutely disgusting and Jeannie at the front desk was absurdly unprofessional! I checked in for one night 8/23 because I had an early flight the next morning. First off the front lobby absolutely stunk of some kind of disgusting cleaner or some awful men's cologne was sprayed everywhere to mask any odors. It was so pungent and over bearing, I was getting nauseous just standing in the lobby to check in. When I got into the room (#108), I went into the bathroom to wash my hands and the faucet handle came right off. Then I wanted to sit outside, when I went back to my room my key wouldn't work. I went to the front desk and no one was to be found anywhere. I rang the bell at the desk and finally started calling the hotel from my cell. After 45 mins of not finding anyone to help me, Jeannie came strolling in the front door. I asked her why she had been gone for such a long time and that I had been waiting and calling for 45 mins. She did not even apologize, she said that a "guest was having car trouble and she was helping," which was a blatant lie, as I walked all around the parking lot several times looking for any employee to help me. So she re-keyed my card for me and I went to my room. About a half hr later, I went back outside, this time I brought both of my keys. I saw her walking to the gas station across the street with another man. Sure enough, 20 mins later when I tried to get back into my room, neither keys worked. I went back to the desk, and again there is no one there. I waited another 20 mins when she and the man she had been walking with come strolling back into the lobby. This time I had had enough and told her I am checking out and would like a full refund since I literally spent MAYBE 10 mins in the room since my keys wouldn't work, and she was never manning the front desk anyway. I mentioned that she is lucky that an emergency hadn't occurred while she was off roaming the street and parking lot. She just stared at me blankly and the man she was with, who was now also sitting in the lobby, rolled his eyes and scowled at me. I ended up walking to the Marriott next door and had a completely wonderful night sleep, and the staff was amazing! Stay away from the Baymont in Ft. Meyers, it is a complete nightmare!!!
