Very pretty grounds.

They didn’t offer the breakfast deal that they used to offer

Wonderful stay. The staff is friendly, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and the food is delicious. The perfect spot for anyone traveling to the area.

$8 for a bottle of pop and a candy bar is outragious

My husband and I spent our anniversary at Cherry Valley Hotel in May 2026. The room was very nice, and the staff were very friendly. We reserved one of their Spring outdoor igloos for dinner, which was a multi-course affair that tasted wonderful. The breakfast the next morning was not as good. I would recommend the hotel and igloos, but not the breakfast in the onsite Craftsman Kitchen.

At first we had to switch rooms due to a reservation error. After we got that sorted we had an miscommunication with the s'mores package but Bri handled all it with poise and care. She was so attentive to our myriad of questions and requests. She definitely needs an award and raise!

PROS: The room was good with a nice view of the interior gardens. In general, the people at the front desk were courteous and helpful. The lady that helped me at checkout was very nice. The rate per room was a little better than I was guessing or reasonable. I was able to get my questions and other items addressed before I arrived. One item that increased my rating by one star: I was there for a different event and quite happy with the hotel setup for it, but I could not help but notice the girls at the dance competition who were very nice, energetic, and did not make any disruptions late at night, which made sleep no problem for me. So, I encourage the hotel to be very inviting to them coming back. CONS: They certainly could do better with the side external entrance logistics and it seems clear this has been going on for months or years. The parking pavement and space can be very limited during events to the point where people park on the grass. The ice machine was not working and it seems it has been that way for a long time. The fitness center does not open until 9AM, which is late. Despite these setbacks, they are workable in some way, and I would not let them discourage you too much from considering coming here.

I would give this hotel 5 stars for environment. The grounds are exquisite. The lobby area is beautiful. The onsite restaurants were very good. Why a 3? First the mattress. We slept poorly for two nights. The mattress was soft, mushy, and may have had some kind of plastic protection that caused us to wake up with sweaty skin. Secondly, tv is too large and poorly placed. I had to walk very carefully underneath to avoid a concussion. Third, lovely furniture but terrible lighting. There is no light near the sectional so after dark it was impossible to read. Not everyone watches tv. I would love to return however I don’t think I could endure the soft bed and sleepless night. I wonder if management has ever spent two nights in one of these rooms.
