Cherry Valley Hotel

This was our second stay, and once again we were really impressed. The hotel is absolutely beautiful upon arrival, very clean, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. The location was perfect, right in the middle of everything we needed to do, with plenty of food and shopping nearby, which made our stay even more convenient. When we checked in, we were told the pool was open, and my kids were so excited. Unfortunately, another child got sick, and the pool had to be closed before we were able to use it. While that was disappointing, the hotel made up for it by accommodating us and letting the kids enjoy s’mores by the fire pit, which they loved. There was also a wedding reception during our stay that looked beautiful. It was right below our room, we could hear the music in the hallway but once inside our room, it was completely quiet. I also loved seeing guests taking prom pictures and others playing the piano in the lobby again. It really adds to the overall atmosphere. We also paid $17 for the breakfast buffet, and it was definitely worth it. Everything was fresh and really good. Overall, it’s just a great environment to stay in, and we’ll definitely be back.

The only downside during our stay was that the hot tub has been out of order for over a year. It would really make a big difference for adult guests if it were repaired and available again.

Stay here for 2 nights. Had 4 rooms total in our group. We have stayed here years ago. This place has gone downhill. First of all our air conditioner was not working in one of the rooms. Bathroom doors did not shut completely, 2 of the tvs had to be turned on and off at bottom tv. Bathrooms were very dirty. Needed a good sweeping and mopping. Back doors of the building had the locks removed on 2 of the doors we went through. For safety reasons that was a problem for me. People in hallway coming in and out of their room when doors slammed it literally shook the picture on the wall. It is really sad because this was the hotel years ago that people stayed . I will say the bed was comfortable and the sofa in all the rooms was nice to have since we had 14 people in our group.

Did not disappoint. I have been to this property for conferences and decided to return. Price was a factor, too. Great Experience.

Convenient location, room had multiple issues, leak from ceiling, rotting railing on outside patio, pullout was broke and unable to be used. Outside doors were taped open, some had no locks or hardware.

The front desk staff were great and this review is not a reflection on them. Overall, there are security concerns within the rooms and the hotel itself. First, the lock for the sliding glass door in the room did not work, so the door could not lock properly. While there is a bar present that prevents the door from opening all the way when engaged, the door should still have a working lock. Second, entrance B has a sign that states a room key is required to be scanned for entry, with a scan pad present, but the door lock has been taped over so the door can be opened by anyone. This is a potential security risk to your hotel, as non guests can enter at any time. Third, many of the lights in the parking lot do not seek to be working at night, so the parking lot is extremely dark. Again, this isn’t just an inconvenience for guests, but also a potential security risk. I am not against staying at Cherry Valley again in the future, but if the above reasons were not addressed and taken care of, they would be the main deterrent to not staying.

Be careful at the restaurant their prices on the menu are not correct for example the quesadillas say 12.00 but your bill will say 12.00 and 5.00 for the chicken so 17.00 not 12.00

I'd always wanted to stay here because it looked so nice. Yes, it's very pretty but lacks many basic amenities you'd expect from even a lower-tier hotel. No microwave in the room. No freezer section in the fridge. Ice machines don't work. No breakfast included, not even a simple Continental breakfast. No guest packet with info on the hotel and surrounding area. And the desk clerk wasn't there at checkout time. We had to wait for them to show up. I wanted to give it 4 stars, but that to me implies I'd stay there again. It's the little things that make or break an experience. And the little things convinced me that I don't need to stay there next time I'm in town.
