Rodos Palace Hotel

The good thing about the hotel is that it is very clean, the food was good and located in a nice area of Rhodes... I will list the things I didn’t like about the hotel and hence I will not be staying there again! - Staff attitude: The staffs (receptionist, manager, waiter and waitress) were rude and not helpful - Hotel facilities: You have to pay 5 euro per day to use the gym. I have been to a lot of countries and I have never experienced this before. -Hotel facilitates: You have to pay 7 euro to iron a shirt. I asked the receptionist for an iron and they initially said they don’t provide an iron to customers for safety reasons thereafter they said I can reserve one for the next day. As advised, I reserved an iron for the next day but I didn’t received one :( The manager ironed my shirt for free the first night and said she will arrange an iron for me the next day. I waited another day and I did get an iron so I went out and purchased one. Cleaning staffs: They left the balcony door open on 2 occasions

We booked the Sunset Suite and it did exactly what it said on the tin. The view was amazing! Also, we really liked the number of options with regards to dining and being able to upgrade our half board to one of the a la cart restaurants for 5Euro's/person/meal.

The room was very spacious, the pool areas were well maintained, nice view of beach/sea. The hotel is well located to take public transport into the historic district of Rhodes. The restaurant staff handled food allergies better than we had expected. It is a large property, so sometimes the staff would be hard pressed to deal efficiently with guests when large groups would descend on the front desk or restaurant.

It was a truly relaxing stay with everything you expect from a top class hotel. Spotlessly clean, delicious food and friendly staff. Would definitely return for another family holiday.

Limited parking. Elevators too small for this size hotel.

Hotel is in front of the beach. we booked the room with sea view. it's really worth: nice sea view, sunset... breakfast and dinner buffet are good. Breakfast buffet is same every day. but Dinner buffet is different everyday. However, for the dinner, if you are man and want to sit in the main restaurant, you need to dress long pants. otherwise, you cannot enter. But if you are a girl, you can enter with shorts. Pity there's no information about this. reception people are cold. it seems that they don't expect you ask any questions. room cleaning is not good. there is sands on the floor, but it's cleaned.

Disgusting service. Staff do not care. This is not a 5 star hotel, 3 at best.

Having been fortunate to stay in other 5 star hotels throughout the world this particular hotel fell short in many respects, & at best could be called 4 star. The half-board option was not fully explained on arrival & after experiencing what can only be described as a "Butinesque" dining hall on our first night decided that we would eat out despite having paid for the additional food. It was only after a week (we were there) for 10 days, that we discovered that if we paid a further €5.00 a head per meal we could dine at other restaurants on the site - which we did & it was well worth it. Ilaysos (where the hotel is) has two or three eateries & bars lots of hotels (but unlike other Greek resorts it is not clear if you can use their facilities) so apart from a couple of bus trips into Rhodes town we stayed locally as to hot to do much else ! Easy to get bus very close to hotel & only 10mins cost of under €2 per person each way. Rhodes town has lots to do such as boat trips - visit the castle etc . Enjoyable holiday but wouldn't rush back in main season, out of season possibly

The hotel is huge and their facilities are very good. However, the amount of lifts it has aren't sufficient for the numbers of people using it as the whole time we were there, we have to wait for lifts going to breakfast as well as dinner. It's not too bad if you're on a lower floor cause you can just walk up or down but not so good if you're much higher up. The hotel is very well kept and the location is good for going into Rhodes as it's only 10/15 minutes away. Fares are ok but if you are looking for visiting sights and doing various tours around the island, it's best to stay in a hotel in Rhodes town as it saves a lot of time waiting for buses to and fro as well as cutting down on cost.
