This hotel has the potential to be a 5-star property, but with current management and attitude it is 3-star at best, so it is quite disappointing because they set your expectations so high. We stayed only 2 nights and ran into the following litany of issues: - When we arrived back to our room at 6pm the first day, nobody had cleaned our room. We were told the cleaning lady had "broken her leg." We later saw the manager of the hotel running around with cleaning supplies. There were a total of 2-3 people on the property pretending to run a high-end operation. - There is nobody at the front desk most of the time, so it is impossible to get service promptly. When we arrived by cab at night nobody picked up the phone at the front desk when we called. - The hotel is a 10 minute walk uphill from nearest parking lot, up stairs, so very difficult to get to for most travellers with baggage. To survive in this location, the hotel needs to be arranging pick-up for all of its arrivals and to have an army of bellboys on staff to ferry bags - We had a "Superior Suite with Jetted tub." After talking to manager we found out that the superior suite is their smallest room, and that the jetted tub is actually located directly next to another room and shared. Ridiculous. - Hotel location is incorrectly listed in Google Maps, and when I tried emailing the hotel to confirm its location, I never received a response from anyone - No toilet paper in bathroom of the breakfast area - Poor breakfast

Es war super! Wir können es nur weiter empfehlen. Das einzige waren die Treppen. Das Hotel ist wirklich ganz oben auf dem Hügel und die Treppen hat man einfach vor sich wenn man geht und wenn man kommt. Da wir aber beide solche Ort schätzen war das für uns ein Bagatelle. Für jemand wo nicht gut zu Fuss ist, ist dies nicht zu empfehlen. Es war bombastisch! Das Frühstück wurde jeden Tag frisch zubereitet mit einem so genialen Überblick über die ganze Insel. Um das Hotel hat es viele versteckte kleine Restaurants, günstig und oben drauf gut. Der Sonnenuntergang konnten wir jeden Abend geniessen. Was auch noch toll war, wir waren so in etwa mitten auf der Insel. Mit dem Bus sind wir jeden Tag an einem anderen Strand gelandet. So konnten wir die Insel voll erkunden. Es waren einer von unseren besten Urlaube je. Vladimir, der Manager, war sehr aufmerksam und wenn irgendwie was nicht stimmte war er immer da zum helfen. Wir gehen auf jeden Fall wieder mal hin.

This is generally a nice place on top of the hill in picturesque and very pleasant village of Pyrgos. If one does not like or cannot climb a steep hill this is probably not a hotel to stay. Value for money is questionable unless you get lucky like us to get an upgrade but even then this is not a five star hotel as we know it.

Really enjoyed this firs trip to Santorini. We wanted quiet but with quick access and we got it. The cave rooms are so quiet and the staff is awesome, breakfast is perfect and and and - well you will have to try it yourself! Also see the art by Edlim there. Carved fish from very old wine caskets. The view from the pool is great also - you can watch the sunset and see Thira and Oia all in one. It is a little hike up several steps to the hotel. But worth it. Make sure to call ahead so they can meet you at the ramp and take your bags up for you. So nice!!!

Le parti comuni si trovano in una villa del '700 di grande charme ed arredata con cura. Le camere sono invece molto umide (incredibilmente umide) ed arredate in modo molto cheap. Nei bagni la plastica la fa da padrona (water/copriwater/mensoline varie), livello Pensione Anita.

Taxi driver didn't advise on how to reach to the hotel so clearly (the area where he couldn't drive obviously) So we lost our way to the hotel near midnight and I panicked for 45 min or so til we were found. Hotel should arrange a pick up for their foreigner guests maybe? Hotel is lovely But the fact that it's an old house (well maintained) meant that the toilet smell was overwhelming the suite. Maybe more freshners? Other than that. Truly awesome choice for lovely pyrgos

Room is too old and looks dirty, in a cave without windows

good points *quirky cave suites -large rooms-cave jacuzzi. worth the extra for upgrade. * breakfast can be served outside your room- no extra charge * chef made fresh pastries for breakfast as had run out- not experienced that anywhere else.-fab * cute bar with great views next door to hotel * friendly Staff-always aiming to please * 10 min drive to capital-fira 10 euros in cab *15 min drive to beach resort Kamari- black beaches * Oia a must do visit but 30/40 min drive

Cet établissement ne mérite pas de figurer dans le guide Relais et Châteaux. Le cadre est magnifique et le village de Pyrgos est superbe. Malheureusement l'hôtel n'offre aucunement la qualité de service qu'on est en droit d'attendre d'un Relais Châteaux. L'entretien des chambres est approximatif. L'équipement des chambres laisse à désirer (chauffe-eau au fonctionnement inquiétant, pas d'alèse pour protéger le matelas par exemple). Le petit déjeuner est des plus quelconque. Le personnel n'est absolument pas professionnel. Les chambres sont mal éclairées et très humides. En résumé, je ne conseille absolument pas cet établissement qui à mon avis doit être repris en main par un manager compétant.
