Richmond Marriott Short Pump

Service/staff excellent. Food mediocre. Hot buffet breakfast was cold, not very good. Very expensive. Most Marriotts I have stayed at, the breakfast buffet was complimentary.

It was close to short pump attractions but was still very quite and relaxing

The room was spotless and surprisingly spacious, with a cozy, comfortable bed that made it easy to unwind after a long day. Thoughtful touches like a mini-fridge, coffee maker, and plenty of charging outlets added to the convenience. The décor felt fresh and modern — simple, but tasteful.

They accused a guest of having open containers and bar area, guest was upset of accusation and call staff member an idiot, and he was kicked off the hotel for that… I believe they could’ve handled this better… staff member came back to bar area and laughed about kicking out guest. Staff member Looked Samoan not sure but verbal skills were very bad Bar Tender with tattoos on arms had us get our own drinks from Bar, where everyone else was getting service on their tables. We also were told to close our tabs at Bar while everybody else got close tabs at their tables.

This was our first time staying at the Richmond Marriott Short Pump. Alejandro welcomed us. My husband is Platinum I had booked a king bed room. Alejandro surprised us with an upgrade. It was a busy weekend so didn’t expect an upgrade. The hotel is wonderful. The staff we spoke with were very nice. Didn’t use the pool or fitness center however did check them out. Both were nice although you do have to go through the dining room to get to them. I did notice stairs going to the second floor so you could access the stairs and go up to get the elevator as another option. The M club was nice plenty of drinks. However they did run out of snacks and there wasn’t hot water for tea Saturday night. We look forward to our next stay at the Marriott. And again a big thank you to Alejandro who was there to answer any and all of my questions.

Very clean and stylish. Convenient location in a nice section of Richmond.
