What I had expected

All the staff were very helpful and went out off there way to help us

it’s wonderful place to stay and staff are amazing especially jamal he was wonderful and make us feel like home

Stayed here for 4 nights in Family Room, 2 Adults and 2 kids. Room was adequate for our needs. Kids said sofa bed was comfortable. Upon request, we (my daughter and I) had the king-size bed split into two singles. Bedding and towels were all nice and clean. View from window, which only partly opened for safety reasons, was of the fire escape at back of hotel, only real aspect we didn't like. Bathroom was totally functional with very good rainfall shower and nice hot water. Buffet breakfast was very good and liked very much by the kids. The balcony by reception/bar offers great views over the bay and is nice to sit out on in the evening with a drink etc. Short walk to town, even shorter to start of zig-zag down to beach. Staff were very pleasant and helpful which made everything enjoyable. Lift to upper floors too. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the East Cliff Hotel. Would recommend it, if on a budget, and will certainly stay here again.

Good beds disappointed at no pool looks like not been used for years but not told about it on booking my stay yes we were offerered another pool at Carlton but it was always buzzy Bar facilities terrible no coffee machine I could go on a lot more very bad re view I think by more than me

The hotel has a very nice sea view regardless of the location of your room, you can access a beautiful sea view from the balcony. The hotel is on the beach front and getting to Poole was not difficult.

Unfortunately I chose a single room which was rather small. It just happened to be a heatwave when I arrived so the room was very hot and If I could have had an update I would have done. But the hotel is in a great position on the cliffs and walking into the town centre.

The room had no hot water at all. Shower was freezing cold. We had to shower (including 3 year old) as we had been on the beach. I can accept the flaking paint and peeling wallpaper, chipped and stained furniture. However, when paying £130 for 1 night plus £20 for parking I expect warm water. This is an basic. The receptionist reply to this issue was that "no one else has said there is no hot water" and that was that. At breakfast in the morning another couple asked if we had hot water as they hadn't and when they reported it they were also fobbed off. Poor. I don't understand all the good reviews - is the hotel getting trip advisor to remove the honest ones?

The worst hotel, the staff have no care or consideration of the guests even when there is an accident in their hotel. 2 hours for the manager to check that my husband was ok after hitting his head on a jagged rusty drain pipe sticking out in the car park. his response was well we can refund you and you can stay elsewhere then offered us a free drink. no accident form was told this was online (not sure how my husband could sign it) until i kept on for one the next day. rooms scalding hot and the shower was so feeble. got offered by the management after complaining to Best Western was 20% off on next visit in 6 months (they know they are safe as no one returns)
