Bournemouth East Cliff Hotel, Sure Hotel Collection by BW

Great place to stay in a perfect location. Yes, it needs updating but the rooms are clean and the beds are comfy! There’s a good selection on the breakfast buffet and the staff were helpful when it came to my gluten allergy. Hari deserves a special mention - he noticed I’d picked up some hash browns and came over and asked if he could get some different ones cooked for me, as he had just checked the bag and it didn’t specify they were gluten free. So he checked a different bag and they were labeled gf. All the staff are friendly and welcoming, will definitely return.

The only word that comes to mind is decrepit. From the outside the paint is peeling and it looks bad. The lobby area is really nice but our room was in a terrible state. The carpet was ripped and stained. Cracks in the ceiling, stained toilet seat (it wasn’t pee stains leftover just some sort of stains that wouldn’t come off). Overall a very shabby hotel and I wouldn’t recommend it nor stay there again. I only stayed there for a night but for a longer stay pick something nicer. It is however very close to the beach which is why I picked it so that’s a plus point for it.

Our room had 2 bedrooms and felt really comfortable with our children. Close to beach and train station and nice view from window. We had a comfortable stay. The only downside was the carpet and decor is a bit run down and the shower was weak. I thought it was excellent value for money and we enjoyed our stay.

I can’t believe the room haven’t got windows or air conditioning, the fire door exit on the room , because to oled window can’t open , when I wake up I was have very bad headache because no windows available ,

Great staff

Staff greeted us with a smile and we felt very welcome, it’s a beautiful building but does look tired. Our bedroom was a perfect size and enough coffee, tea, sugar and milk for our stay, the bed was very comfortable and the bed lining was very soft and clean. Again the room was looking tired in places and could do with some filler on the skirting board, we had a nice selection for breakfast and the coffee was delicious, it was a very pleasant stay and my wife and I would definitely come back. My only criticism is the £20 per 24hrs for parking, it was excessive and I don’t think you should have to pay for parking if you’re staying in the hotel.

Staff are very helpful. Jamol was on shift when i arrived and was night staff and very helpful, extremely friendly. The breakfast is very tasty and a wide selection of food and drink.

The hotel is perfectly located close to all amenities and on a regular bus route. Very clean throughout, and the staff were helpful and friendly . Good breakfast with gluten options. The pool was closed, but the sister hotel next door had a good pool. Our room was comfortable although the bathroom was compact. We stayed for two nights in a heatwave so with no air-conditioning it was very warm although a fan was provided. The WiFi is limited and kept dropping out. Would stay here again
