Radisson Royal Hotel, St. Petersburg

Delightful staff on reception. Room very comfortable, with excellent bedding and good beds. Generous size and very good bathroom.

The hotel is ok, it is dated. The one good thing is the location, very central and convenient.

Excellent location, good rooms, excellent staff, superb breakfast

Our recent stay at the Radisson Royal in St. Petersburg Russia was one of the best traveling experiences our family has ever had. From the time I made the booking, I was very impressed with the immediate attention and response from the reservation team with Visa support, and with the superb concierge services, who helped us book private tours and transportation during our stay in St. Petersburg. The Radisson staff made everything possible to accommodate our party of 6 travelers. They offered my family of 4 (2 grown ups, and 2 young adolescent girls) a business room (which is enormous by European, and American standards) and accommodated one King Size, and 2 double beds, and the room still had space for a desk, and a sitting area. The bathrooms have all been beautifully renovated and they have all the comforts of a 5-star hotel. The rest of our party included my 19-year old nephew, and my 88-year old mother, they each had a standard room with king size bed, still very spacious, and with fully renovated bathrooms. The Radisson offered us, at no extra cost, a wheelchair for my mother to use throughout the whole time we were there. The Concierge Services were the best part of the trip, their prices were better than other American-based companies I had researched for private tours, and the service was excellent, we had a luxe minivan and a wonderful driver very day (Edouard) and two wonderful tour guides (Lena for 1 day, and Lilia for 6 days). Staff went above and beyond for us.

we booked at king bed but it really was a queen or double... Though that seems typical in Russia. Our room was on the 7th floor and the elevator only goes to 6th floor, so we had to haul out bags up a an extra flight of stairs. Room is very small, also typical for standard toms in Russia. Other than that hotel is in a convenient area, modern and clean.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

This was our first and last stay at this hotel. Very disappointing. Old, smelly, filthy facility despite a good central location. First room we were assigned had a horrible suffocating air probably from smoke and then cleaning detergent and no ventilation. The rooms are extremely small unless you want to upgrade for a hefty fee. Our room was not cleaned twice during our 6-night stay even after speaking with the reception. Two waitresses are too busy to serve people at breakfast and at least to clean tables. We went to one local restaurant. There are no place to park (even for taxi) in front of the hotel, no one opens the front door for you especially needed when you carry suitcases. The staff is indifferent. There are a lot of hotels nearby recently remodeled, clean and comparably priced. This hotel, based on all, is overpriced. Honestly, we wouldn't even stay there for free.

I cannot say anything negative about this hotel, a good central location, rooms were very comfortable with tea and coffee making supplies and bathroom was well equipped too. But most of all I have to say that the staff here are outstanding, helpful, pleasant always with a smile to make you feel at home and nothing is too much trouble - would not look at any other hotel for my next stay in Saint Petersburg. I would particularly like to mention the Concierge - Olesya who was exceptional even ringing Aeroflot to help me confirm my flight reference number and all with a smile!!

We have 3 rooms during our stay, one of the rooms have a bad experience that my relative's feet was cut by a bed corner metal piece, and her feet was bleeding. This is not expected in such qualtiy hotel.

Perfect serves, convenient place and good fresh orange juice.
