"A great stay"

10.0

Just spent five nights at the hotel. The room was spacious and quiet with excellent wifi connections The food in the bar area was excellent- especially the rib eye steak and the grilled salmon The concierge service from the two ladies was first class and the drivers provided real professionals. The gym could do with upgrading with more equipment

"Nice place to stay in Saint Petersburg"

10.0

The four of us stayed here for 3 nights. When we got there and were shown the room (a standard room) we realized that the two doubles were actually two singles and certainly not enough for the four of us. But the front desk manager was very nice, shifted us into the biggest standard room (314: nice view of Nevsky Prospect) and told us they would put rolling single beds for our kids without charge. It is a comfortable place to stay in, well run, and the concierge was very helpful in getting taxis for us. The hotel has their own taxi which is quite expensive but the ones they call from outside are for a fixed price and very reasonable. The location on Nevsky Prospect, is wonderful: lots of nice restaurants close by, fun to just walk on the street, and about a 25 minute walk to Hermitage. Try to get a room looking onto Nevsky Prospect. Highly recommended.

"Nice place to stay"

8.0

We could walk to most places of tourist interest within 30 minutes. The hotel is on the main street of the city, so finding restaurants and shops was easy. We ate out in the many restaurants located near by, as this gave us a variety of food, and worked out much cheaper than eating in the hotel.

"Great location!"

8.0

Loved the central location of this hotel! The rooms were nice and clean. The bathroom floor was heated so it was nice a nice feature during winter months. The mattress is not comfy though... One thing was frustrating - the front doors were really heavy to open and nobody helped us with our bags. Thank goodness I wasn't alone, my coworker helped with the door while I dragged my bags inside the hotel.

"Nice staff, hotel, questionnable bathwater"

8.0

Your Review Radisson Royal Hotel, St. Petersburg This hotel was very well located, had lovely staff and nice rooms. I did, however, have an issue with the light green bathwater. I knew that I shouldn't drink the water in the city but was surprised by the actual color of the bathwater, which made my face break out in a rash. I talked to the staff, and they first asked me to run the water for five or more minutes to see if that helped. It didn't. They then said that was "normal" for the city and assured me that their water was tested regularly for safety. They even said they filtered the incoming water. So, I don't know if that really is normal for hotels in the area, but when I checked out the bathwater of a higher end hotel, it didn't have that green tint. They were very nice and concerned, but there was obviously nothing they could do. Otherwise, it was a very nice hotel ---i just used bottled water to wash my face and took quick showers.

"Radisson Royal a very expensive 3 star hotel"

6.0

Dingy room with little natural light as overlooked light well. However everything worked well and it was clean. Staff tried hard to please. Breakfast very expensive and poor - better value and cheaper at other more expensive neighbouring hotel. There is a bar and small fitness centre - no pool. 30 min walk to Winter Palace along pretty busy noisy road. Certainly not 5 star. More espensive front rooms available. A miserable hotel atmosphere (not the staff though!).
