Residence Inn by Marriott Lakeland

We stayed at this hotel as we were at a soccer event, the first night we arrive late and noticed a musty smell in the room. We were so tired and had early games that we slept that night, but it was not comfortable as we developed allergies. The next morning, we went to the front desk and others in our group were also affected. There were mold stains visible on the wall and sinks with standing water. It was a 2-night stay so we requested to check out for the 2nd night considering our allergies and discomfort. The assistant manager confirmed that he would not issue the refund for the second night because I didn't complain before 11:59pm the night before. When we were gathering our things in the room to check out, they had sprayed a horrible disinfectant that was super strong to mask the musty smell. This is not acceptable especially for such a reputable hotel brand. I have stayed in many of these hotels in Florida and have never had such an experience. To this day they have not even responded to the emails I have sent to the manager, and I never even received a final bill. But the full charge is on my credit card. This is a health issue, and it is very disappointing that they have chosen to address in this way. Do not recommend staying in this hotel - health hazard and poor customer service.

I was shocked and dismayed to discover the deplorable conditions of the room I had been assigned. To my horror, the room was filled with mold, both on the walls and in the bathroom. This not only posed a serious health hazard but also made my stay extremely uncomfortable and unpleasant. However, despite their assurances, no action was taken to remediate the situation during my entire stay, I check out first thing in the morning. The assistant manager was more worried about charging me for the full stay that addressing the main problem. I believe that as a guest, I should have the right to a clean, safe, and healthy environment. It is unacceptable that this establishment failed to provide these basic necessities, and I am deeply dissatisfied with the overall experience I had. DON'T STAY HERE!

Everything was fantastic! I stayed here for over a month and never had a bad interaction with the staff. Housekeeping and front desk provided incredible service and maintenance was always on top of fixing issues in a timely manner

I was greated by Dane who just set the tone for a wonderful stay. Give that man a raise!

I had a very nice stay there. The front staff Alysha,Dane,Tuesday and Jay were awesome. Always had smiles and a welcome attitude. Andrea made sure I had everything I needed. Dayle made sure I had the best rate. Luz made sure the breakfast was hot and was never a moment where I had to wait on something. Priscilla always kept my room clean and stocked with what I needed. When I return to Lakeland I will stay at this location every time. Thank you for an excellent stay.

Arrived at 1a and the night manager (wish I had gotten his name) was friendly and efficient. Staying at Residence Inn is more like staying in a small apartment. Having Marriott app meant I could request non-feather bedding (allergic). It was ready when I arrived; though I ended up in an accessible room. The plus was that it came with a hand shower, a feature often lacking in most hotel rooms. The minus was the closet racks were really low and some of my clothes would have dragged on the floor. Breakfast had a burrito choice which was tasty, a nice surprise.

Loved the hot tub and how friendly the person was at the front desk. Our room was so nice and comfortable. loved the location as we could walk to shopping and dinner, Breakfast was good and service person so nice.

Nice big room, hot tub by pool with awesome jets, great staff.

Room smelled like a nursing home-urine odor. Could use a little sprucing up but met my needs.

Great sized room will all the amenities. All staff were really pleasant
