Casa del Mar Langkawi

My wife and I returned to CDM in June for a seven night stay. It was wonderful to meet up with some of the same staff, and experience the same levels of service at this property. It is all of the little things that the staff does that make a visit here special. Some of the staff we interacted with include Halim, Suhaime, Shazz, Putra, Alwan, Nordin, Azura, Hafify, and Adila.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the amazing team who made my stay truly memorable. A special thank you to Receptionist Aiman, who took great care of us from check-in until check-out with exceptional hospitality. I would also like to thank the housekeeping team, especially the Malay gentleman, the F&B staff, and the lovely lady who surprised me with a birthday cake. Your kindness, warm service, and attention to detail made us feel right at home throughout our stay. Thank you for making my birthday and overall experience so special. I truly appreciate all of your efforts, and I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

Overall, we had a pleasant stay (June). The hotel itself was nice and everything worked as expected. The rooms were comfortable and we didn’t have any major complaints. The highlight of our stay was definitely the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind and helpful. We accidentally left our iPad in the room after checking out, and when we were already at the airport, a member of the team personally brought it to us. We were extremely grateful for such outstanding service.

That said, we do feel the hotel is quite expensive for what it offers. While everything was perfectly fine, we expected more considering the price. This isn’t the hotel’s fault, but the beach isn’t particularly comfortable for swimming. We also found the pool to have a rather unusual smell and it wasn’t as clean as we had expected. The breakfast was decent, but fairly average. Overall, it’s a good hotel with excellent staff, but we don’t think the experience fully justifies the price.

I enjoyed my first trip to Langkawi. I am satisfied with the location and the service of the staff. I would like to stay there on my next trip to Langkawi.

This is our first time staying at this resort & we stayed for 5 nights. From the moment we arrived at the airport to moment we left (complimentary airport transport included in our rate) we were treated like royalty. When we arrived at the lobby, the front office staff came over to help with our bags. After confirming our reservation, they straight away took care of the luggage with check in being very easy. We were then taken up to our room with and was given a full tour of the room and ameneties. The room was huge (60sqm) and had good amenities as well. We had a balcony with a view of the swimming pool and with a seaview. I have seen some reviews stating that the rooms are a bit dated - one of the charms of the hotel is that the rooms are not sparkly and new and perfectly adequate. The room we booked had 3 sections - when you walk in a lounge and balcony with seating, another with a table and chairs with a fridge and finally the bedroom (comfy bed) with a small balcony. The bathroom was huge with 2 vanities, a bath, shower and seperate toilet. There was also a coffee maker with pods, hot chocolate and a jar of divine cookies. There were 2 x TV's. Breakfast was excellent with a wide selection of pastries, asian and western food. There was also an a la carte menu with an order taken at the table along with a barista with excellent coffee and fresh cut fruit brought to you if you wished. The pool area is very nice with a bar and plenty of sunbeds, the beach is close and enormous! We ate at the hotel on 3 of the nights and the food is superb, in my mind could easily be 1 star Michelin quality. There were also many bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk. It is the small things that can make a holiday and there are plenty of small touches provided in addition to the high quality staff of which I couldn't single out a particular member, they were all great. We have been fortunate enough to stay in many hotels around the world over the years and in my opinion Casa Del Mar is the very best overall experience we have had anywhere. We will definately come back.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa del Mar Langkawi. The staff were friendly and helpful especially Sam and Ken. The room was comfortable and clean, and the atmosphere was fun and relaxing for our vacation. We especially enjoyed the facilities and overall hospitality, which made our stay very memorable.

A bit outdated

Небольшой уютный отель у самого берега. Каждый вечер ваш номер готовят ко сну, включают приятную музыку, подготавливают горячий шоколад. Постель удобная, подушки для меня немного жестковаты, в номере кроме кофе, чая и горячего шоколада, всегда есть печенье и арахис. Завтраки очень вкусные, нет огромного выбора, зато есть разнообразие фруктов. Вокруг много активностей: это и водные развлечения и разнообразные бары и рестораны на любой вкус.

Это не минус, но мимо по пляжу периодически проезжают машины, развозят и собирают гидроциклы
