Casa del Mar Langkawi

A fantastic place with friendy staff, amazing two cats, comfortable rooms, great restaurant, a beautiful garden and a lovely pool. Unfortunately, due to jellyfish, it wasn’t possible to enjoy the beautiful beach and the warm sea, which was the most important part for me. For that reason, I probably won’t return—what a pity, because the place itself is truly wonderful.

Maybe it would be possible to install some kind of net in the sea to prevent jellyfish from getting in?

Locatuon -Perfect 15 min from airport. Right opposite to the local market. Rooms - Big and clean room with almost everything you desire. Hospitality is an experience what Casa Del Mar has given us. Breakfast with a la carte choice was a very pleasant surprise with every dush ordered was very well made and presented. Beach dinner was a one time experience. Swimming pool was well maintained and clean with towels placed in your rooms and changed everyday. Thank you for a memorable ecperience.

Best hotel breakfast I've ever had. Great variety and great taste.

Casa Del Mar has to be one of the friendliest hotels anywhere. Location cannot be beaten, it is on the beach. The garden atmosphere of the pool, bar and restaurant is second to none. Poolside service is great with iced water and small snacks. Our room was a sea view suite. Very comfortable and a good size with all the expected amenities. Staff everywhere is friendly and helpful. They come looking for you when necessary. This is our 5th visit over 14 years and we will keep coming back. It is a relaxing oasis in a developing resort town.

A lovely six night stay in a good location with excellent friendly staff. Lovely food. However our beachfront suite was very tired and bathrooms in particular in need of refurbishment. Air conditioning did not work and we had to be moved on second day.

After 10 years, we stayed at Casa del Mar for the second time. Just as on our first visit, we felt very much at home during our second stay. All the staff are friendly and very attentive. The hotel is situated in a very quiet spot on what is otherwise a very lively beach. The food – both breakfast and dinner – is delicious.

This was our second visit to Casa del Mar and once again, it was wonderful. It’s such a beautiful place, with amazing staff, great food, great service and a lovely, relaxing atmosphere. The location is perfect, with lots of eating places within a few minutes walk, or if you choose to eat in, the food is absolutely delicious. You can do as much or as little as you like, with many options available on the island to explore, or plenty of food and drink to relax by the pool with. I am certain we will return and will definitely stay here again when we do.

We had originally planned to go to CDM in April 2020 which obviously was cancelled. We always said we'd return when able as the hotel gave me a full refund at the time. It did not disappoint on the Indulgence package! The hotel is at the end of the beach virtually but that is perfect for minimal noise and access within 15 minutes walk for everything. The room we had (seaview deluxe suite on first floor) was fantastic and helped us totally relax. Four Poster, twin sinks, lounge area and 2 balconies were fantastic, helped watch the sun go down after a tough day at the pool/beach! Food was excellent, great service and selection was good. 2 x spa experiences each were very calming and helped relax even more. Beach dinners were fantastic and not your every day experience so totally recommend. Pool was clean and perfect temperature. Did the hotel boat trip experience which they don't advertise hard enough but is certainly worth it versus the other hundreds offering down the high street and beach. Only one 'issue', and we found this throughout our Malaysia tour, was that the information offered to you about the package we were on, boat trip, etc. was that we had to ask. A welcome pamphlet would help explain everything.

The team at Casa Del Mar are fantastic, smiling and f the time. they did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Breakfast is great Added bonuses around the pool area with jugs of iced water, fruit served around 11:30 and a nice glass of "something" around 17:00 (bellini or a vodka soda etc) Fresh towels for the pool delivered daily Fresh towels in your room daily Fresh water in room daily Nice products in the room and bathroom Little touches like a daily forecast and a smelly bookmark delivered to the room are a nice touch The pool area is very nice, not as big as the pictures make out but lots of room for beds and always free space. It could do with a little more "life" IMO, turn up the chill music a bit Location, its at the quieter end of the beach which is great but only a stroll down the beach path to a few nice bars and a couple of eateries Room Sadly the rooms are in need of updating Spacious rooms but the fixtures and fittings are very dated. Everything works and the rooms are cleaned daily, but because everything is old (especially the bath tub) it never really looks that clean Everything works but its just all old The bed was incredibly large and comfortable Theres a large TV with Apps if you wanted to watch prime or netflix IOP the overall cost for the stay, v service, v the rooms that you get, make tit feel rather expensive for what you get. If the rooms were updated then would have felt more value for money (its one of, if not the most expensive hotel for the area)
