Casa del Mar Langkawi

We returned for the third time and have already requested a booking for next year! We love arriving back to our relaxation by the sea. The staff are all fantastic, very attentive, friendly and recognise people who return (there are many repeat bookings). From the 'spin the wheel' at the bar to the spa and sunsets we have everything we need here. Plenty to do outside the hotel also. Our only issue on this visit is the increase in jet ski traffic early morning and evening who blocked our view for a while at the meal on the beach when they were getting stuck in the sand. Would be great for Langkawi to review this issue so all businesses can work without impact to customers. We were excited to see the renovated room which reflected the major renovation planned for May this year, great to see and provide feedback. Will be a fabulous change but as long as the staff are still here we will be happy! Looking forward to next year (and fish club!) already.

We recently stayed at Casa Del Mar to celebrate my fiancée’s birthday. Overall, the stay was pleasant — the front desk team was supportive, housekeeping was excellent, and the room and general food quality were top notch. However, the private dinner experience (approximately RM700) was disappointing and did not meet expectations. The Merlot served was not at proper serving temperature. When we requested another bottle, it was also warm. We were informed that the wines were not kept at cool room temperature and an ice bucket was provided only after we asked. Service during dinner lacked attentiveness. Staff only delivered the courses listed on the menu but never checked in between servings. We had to look around for water, and no one asked whether everything was satisfactory or if we needed anything further. We had requested a 7:30 PM start time, yet after being seated, no one attended to us for about 30 minutes. Later, around 10:20 PM, we asked for dessert to be served soon. However, no one came for nearly 40 minutes. Assuming it was not coming, we returned to our room. Dessert was then delivered there, but the ice cream had completely melted over the chocolate lava cake. We do have photos. We were told staff did not want to disturb us as they thought we were enjoying ourselves. However, attentive service is essential, especially for a private birthday dinner. It was unfortunate that what was meant to be a special celebration did not go as planned. While other departments performed very well, the private dinner service needs improvement.

Het is een prachtig en superdeluxe hotel op een geweldige plek. Personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ontbijt en kamers zijn geweldig. Ontzettend aardig: ik kwam vroeg en mocht meteen aan het ontbijt deelnemen. Geen kosten voor gerekend. Enorm welkom!

Our second stay at Casa. That speaks volumes. The staff make this hotel. They all go out of their way to make your stay memorable, all day every day. Can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. We will be back.

Highly recommend this establishment . On the beach and on the doorstep of a market environment . Really nice rooms , bar and restaurant . Not a big place maybe 30 rooms . Nice pool , no children when we were there . Other guests very pleasant . Staff outstanding

We stayed here for 21 nights over New Year after a recommendation from friends. It more than lived up to the expectations. The staff make this place. It’s only a small hotel so they are on first name terms with most of the guests. They were all without exception friendly without sounding “scripted” (as they did at Marina Bay Sands) . The food offerings were great as well and dinner is on the beach each evening There’s a reason they so many returning guests and we will be amongst them in the future. Probably the best service we’ve had in a hotel anywhere, including many 5 star places.
