Hotel Continental

I booked my hotel through my travel agent who in turn booked with Expedia. I had a voucher and thought everything was OK. Upon arrival I was asked for my credit card to pay for the hotel. I explained that I already paid my agent who in turn had paid Expedia. They had my agent's debit card information on file BUT refused to use that. They insisted that I pay for the room using my credit card. My agent contacted Expedia and the hotel and they refused to do anything about it. This situation is totally unacceptable and I hold Expedia responsible. I will take to social media when I return and let everyone know about this horrible experience. My agent even provided a copy of his debit card AND his passport and they still refused to accept it.

The location is perfect to explore the central as well as the surrounding tourist attractions. The hotel staff is very attentive to your travel inquiry and very helpful. The breakfast is included and is excellent.

Check in was excellent Room was clean and comfortable except that there is no airconditioning. There is a small "cooler" unit which does little to cool the room and does not dehumidify. I was quite tired and needed rest so did not report toilet not flushing until next morning. Was not fixed before I checked out. No TV instructions so unable to find English channels. All In all a very nice hotel for the price ($44) but it could be an even better property with just a little effort. When checking out, I missed one of my items so I went back to the room right away. It was not there. But by the time I got back to the front desk the room cleaner had brought it down. Excellent!!

Room was clean and very safe, good location but room was very small with a queen size bed , no a/c. every time we took showers couldn't get the water to stay the right temperature it was too hot or too cold but I think this is a problem in every hotel in Peru. At least the ones that I stayed in in Lima and Cuzco

We had a great stay. Close to the Plaza and museums, food. Room was good,. We were even upgraded. We had a balcony, large bed and plenty of space.

Nice and clean

The hotel was suitable for just the two nights I needed, but many things could be improved. There was no heating system so my room was very cold both nights. A clock and safe in the room would have been appreciated and the cleanliness could be improved as well.

Great location to explore Lima by foot, and is located in a safe neighborhood. The rooms are very spacious! The internet worked sometimes however which was inconvenient. There are also no hairdryers in the rooms ladies, which was true of most hotels I stayed in throughout Peru and Chile. The breakfast is okay as well. Limited variety, usually ham and cheese sandwiches and eggs, which again was true of all the hotels I stayed in however.
