Steigenberger Nile Palace

Fabulous hotel staff excellent highly recommend- central location perfect for tourist. A must stay in Luxor/ recommend a view of the Nile for perfect sunsets view

We stayed for 2N. We booked half-board side Nile view via their own HRewards site. Pre-checkin Experience: 0/5 Check-in Experience: 0/5 Room : 5/5 Hospitality: 1/5 Half-board and breakfast : 2/5 View : 5/5 Pre-checkin Experience: 0/5. No response to emails. No communication whatsoever. We raised customer support request, again no response. They didn't even ask about check-in time, we were on the edge till we reach the hotel, worried about room availability. Check-in Experience: 0/5. Equally disastrous. They didn't accept credit card asking us to pay via cash ( USD or EURO) or via a link which was not mentioned anywhere. Room : 5/5. We booked Side nile view and we got a great room , spacious, enough sockets to charge, good side Nile view and we really liked it. Comfortable mattress too. Hospitality: 1/5. We expected Egyptian hospitality but we received European hospitality - curt and indifferent. Right from the reception staff to the staff in the breakfast/ dinner area. It's the same. Nobody smiles at the hotel. Before this, we stayed in Movenpick Aswan and Marriott in Cairo Zamalek, Steigenberger need to learn a thing or two from Marriott Half-board and breakfast : 2/5. Very average breakfast, nothing special. The Egg chef is very good though. Half-board is a scam. Hardly any items in the dinner, very limited. They have NO LABELS anywhere in the food section - be it breakfast or dinner. Guess they are waiting for someone to get health issues or serious life threatening allergy for them to start labeling. They don't care about people's dietary restrictions. Definitely not a 5 star hotel behaviour. View : 5/5. Nile view was great, nothing much in the night, we walked around the property in the night to get Nile view. Not worth the 280$ per night price tag we paid. Definitely doesn't feel 5-star.

Entering the main open air area was very nice. Unfortunately, we learned a few things after 3 nights stay. Outside food is not allowed in. They have a bag scanner at the entrance and if you bring take away food, they force you to sit OUTSIDE and finish the food before coming in. Every night there is some performance from 7.30-9.00pm whilst we were there. Though others may appreciate it, we didn’t cos we sleep by 8pm+ because of jet lag. And we couldn’t get a room facing the nile, our window was facing right where the stage was :( Pool is great. The breakfast area is huge, and you can sit outside facing the Nile river, although the tables are not very clean and has dust/ sand on it. You walk right down is a staircase where you can be picked up by boat for your tours! 3 restaurants to choose from- Italian, Lebanese and Thai. I suggest the Lebanese. Being Asian the Thai restaurant was not great and wayyy overpriced. Rooms a bit dated. And the sink in the bathroom was clogged. Also the shower door couldn’t close properly, so all the water was being soaked by the floor mat

Hassan Mohamed Hassan in the Nubia Restaurant was incredibly hospitable and helpful . He couldn’t do enough to ensure our dining experience was excellent . Fantastic smiley disposition and always made us feel welcome

Wonderful stay at the hôtel. A great thank to Nardin at the front desk who perfectly organized our stay. She also perfectly fulfilled our wishes, such as experiencing a feluqa tour.

We stopped by for ice cream to end the night and watch the live music. Ahmed was very nice, made sure we had a special night and felt welcomed. Definitely stop by!

We had a lovely couple of days in Luxor. This hotel is amazing very clean and welcoming. There are a number of restaurants to choose from and the food is delicious. A huge thank you to the lovely Ahmed the waiter in the bar. He is so helpful and friendly. He made roses for us from strawberries and a sun from lemons. We highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is very special and means a lot to both myself and my husband . We have stayed there many times and it just keeps getting better. The staff are very special, kind and genuinely caring especially Chef Ali, Nadine ( guest relations) and Ahmed Magjy in reception , who looked after us after our flight was cancelled and gave us a very special room for the night . Thankyou to all of you . The three Ahmed’s and Montasser at the pool are like our family and every morning we would get to the pool and our sun beds were ready . Now about the food , it was amazing!!! Breakfast was very special , everything you could think of. I loved an omelette and Yasmine cooked it to perfection every morning, she was a special lady .All the restaurant staff worked very hard and we thank them . Wherever we ate , it was delicious and there was plenty of choice . Italian , Lebanese , Asian and Egyptian down below the pool and music also . The room cleaners were exceptional, and did an excellent job and the bar staff enjoyed chatting and making us laugh. They all work very long hours and we appreciate that . One last Thankyou must go to the manager Mr Moshiee, you are doing an amazing job, this is a truly wonderful hotel and it shows the staff work hard for you because you are a good boss . Really nice hotel. Rooms are good, some of which face the nile, some of which face the colorful (with flowers) courtyard. Pool is very relaxing. Multiple resteraunts; prices are higher than in town, but not completely out of place in a resort. Great breakfast buffet. Three different bar areas (indoors and outdoors). Staff is incredibly helpful, going out of their way to make your stay pleasant (thanks Ahmed!!) Nile is right next to the hotel. With seats/balconies overlooking it. Overall a really pleasant place to stay after a long day sightseeing!

Huge rooms and huge beds with nice balcony that overlooks the Nile. I stayed here one night post cruise so we could visit Saqqara - enjoyed the pool and the thai restaurant. Had a bad experience at the italian restaurant due to an extremely rude manager who refused to seat us even though only two of the tables were occupied. Otherwise enjoyed my stay. Don't walk much outside - the hassle isn't worth it.
