Steigenberger Nile Palace

Luxor is an incredible place but can be all day surround sound visual attack on the senses with intellectual overload. This hotel is the perfect place to come back to each day to recover and recharge. A superb property, excellent service, great pool deck from which to watch the sun set over the nile.

Just about to go to the airport to return home but not before a last beer served by two great guys Ahmed and Mohammed who have been looking after me during my stay at the hotel. A relaxing afternoon at the Cafe des délices. There are several restaurants and cafes here very relaxed atmosphere, the waiters let you rest and check in now and again in case you need a top-up. Great location, recommended. Brian.

The Steigenberger Nile palace is a superb hotel. Perfect location at the side of the river. We upgraded to a Nile view room so if your budget allows I can recommend doing so. I will always remember laying in bed looking out of my window and watching the balloons float by in the sky (24 one morning) The hotel is spotlessly clean and the food in 3 restaurants is very good. We have been here many many times in fact this is the second time this year. The staff can not do enough to make your stay perfect … I should like to thank Svetlana for the bowl of fruit, Mohamed (drinks and beverage manager) for all his help… Sala who always greets us with a lovely smile … Hade who always had our 2 Sakaras waiting in an ice bucket and Mohamed too… the guys by the pool always had our towels ready on our sunbeds… Ahmed and Ahmed … every thing has been fantastic I have only dropped a star as the pool was cold but we were told yesterday the heating is now on but we go home in 3 days … fingers crossed it’s a little warmer before we go… We are already looking forward to coming back xx 😘

We visited the Steigenberger Nile Palace in April .. we have stayed here many times in the past 15 years (even before it was a Steigenberger hotel). When we visited in April we did see changes as we had not visited Luxor for several years due to Covid restrictions and the fact that there were no direct flights from Manchester ( there are now) … We noticed that the hotel had been upgraded in parts but not others… Firstly I can not fault the staff in anyway they are superb and can’t do enough to help … and the place is spotless .. but in the space of 2 days the prices for food and drink have increased on average by 35 per cent at least (for example the local beer sakara went up overnight from 4gbp to 5.70gbp) … the pool has always been heated no matter what time of year … bring your thermals as it’s not on at all and freezing … I actually think that once the new hotel that is under construction nearby is open the hotel will struggle. Unfortunately I don’t think we will be visiting the Nile palace again … several people we met in April actually said that to us then …. It’s sad but true … the world is a big place and we can keep good memories of our time in the Nile Palace from the past …

Five star service. Best of any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Enjoyed dinner twice at Thai Restaurant. Excellent food and service. Had breakfast at the Nubia Breakfast each day. Outstanding service from Abdallah, Ahmad and Selvia. Ahmad absolutely made my day, getting me peaches. (breakfast had the first day, and not the next, but he brought them to me. And I can’t say enough things about my awesome friends, Mohammed and Mohammed at the concierge desk. Fabulous service and fun personalities. So nice and helpful. Loved staying at this hotel. Only negative: Totally enjoyed pool area, but wish they could have fans in this area because the flies are out of control. But this is a problem all over Egypt.

Our stay at this particular hotel was amazing. The place itself was very impressive, with a stunning view of the Nile. The staff were also extremely polite. Especially noteworthy were Ahmed, who helped me a lot during a difficult situation, making me feel comfortable instead of embarrassed, and Abdallah, who took excellent care of us every morning at the breakfast buffet.

Only stayed one night but we had a fantastic experience. We arrived very early but they were already trying to get our room ready. Lobby was cool and open, leading out to a huge atrium of restaurants. Our room was Nile facing with big balcony and sweeping views of the Nile, VOK and the gorgeous pool area. Maybe a little dated and a fair walk from the lifts and stairs. Little fruit platter on arrival was appreciated as well as the complimentary water. Comfortable bed and luxurious bathroom. Loved the shower!!! 18$ for breakfast was steep so we avoided that however we did eat at the Lebanese restaurant which was phenomenal. The pool area was divine, very reasonably priced menu and great chef preparing our orders. Watching the sunset on a sun lounger across the Nile with all the boats passing by was quite exceptional. Very convenient getting around Luxor, we couldn’t fault this hotel in any way. Can’t wait to come back!

We had a fantastic stay at Steigenberger Nile Palace. The hotel is right on the Nile with stunning sunset views. Rooms are clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome. Breakfast was excellent with a great variety. Perfect location near Luxor Temple. Highly recommended!

Really enjoyed my stay here - the staff and facilities are excellent. Amazing breakfast and Thai restaurant. Ahmed served me fresh juice in the morning then again in the bar for a nice snack later in the day and he was extremely kind and hospitable. I also received really super nice service in the art gallery downstairs in the bazaar area where they have a nice selection of no hassle shops with fair prices. The gallery owner was extremely helpful and they had really interesting pieces. Treat yourself to a Nile river view room; 100% worth it.
