Staff is very friendly and approachable. Clean, well kept, and easy to get around Heavenly (drive and walk) to restaurants and Lake Tahoe. Car is recommended to enjoy the area. The upgrade from studio to one bedroom is well worth it and highly recommended for the space.

We had an excellent stay at Hilton Vacation Club Lake Tahoe Resort South to celebrate our wedding. They upgraded us from a queen room to a one bedroom king suite when we mentioned it to them. But not only did they upgrade us, they decorated the bedroom beautifully for the occasion. The staff here are so friendly and have exceeded our expectations. I cannot recommend this location enough. 10/10 will be back to stay again.

The staff was all amazing. Courtney at the front desk went above and beyond to make our stay special but everyone was extremely welcoming and helpful. We have been coming for many years and this was our best experience yet.

I stay in South Lake Tahoe often, and this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve had here, especially for the price. This property is one of the more expensive places to stay in South Lake, yet the room felt dated, old, and nowhere near worth the cost. The bed felt small and the overall room felt tired and underwhelming. I’m also a Hilton Gold member and my status was essentially ignored. The room assigned to me was the farthest possible location from the front desk, even though the hotel appeared half empty. When I asked about other room options, I was told management requires that any change or upgrade be charged. That pretty much explains the attitude toward guests here. You’re forced to use expensive valet parking, and on top of that you’ll still be charged resort fees. Between mandatory valet and resort fees stacked on top, it starts to feel like a bit of a scam. Between the outdated rooms, high prices, lack of loyalty recognition, and constant extra charges, this place simply isn’t worth it. I won’t stay here again and would strongly recommend staying somewhere else in South Lake Tahoe.

Fireplace was an orange glow and no heat Patio and view was in the parking lot Bedroom had no privacy drapes so you were either in the dark with the black out curtains drawn or open drapes to the parking lot. Ground floor.

The staff was very friendly, responsive and helpful. The location, especially with access to the Heavenly shuttle, was fantastic.

Our TV didn’t work, the remote was out of batteries, our fridge was unplugged, and the shower had a seat that only folded brown by being forced over a handle or otherwise hung loosely from its screws in the tile. The automatic valet service was unexpected/not clearly communicated beforehand, and felt like an additional junk charge.

Location to local attractions

Excessive, hidden fees, and unexpected security deposit of $200 after paying for room, limited room amenities, small room, lighting in room was limited.
