Surfside Resort

The condo owner was awesome and the property had the nice amenities it describes. However, Robert the manager lacks the common sense of a toad. Because a few folks violated the private beach boundaries he closed the beach to everyone rather than the individuals who violated the rules. Yes, he kicked 25 folks off the beach scattered in a wide area within the boundaries set forth by them. This caused everyone to then crowd into the pool area which is not quite what social distancing had in mind. On top of this he then locked the gate so the folks at the pool did not have access to the beach bar. While I tried to explain his action might not be beneficial to the owners or renters he did not get it... typical for a person in authority that lacks sound judgement and limited cognitive abilities. I recommend staying away from this place until this management/security group is replaced. Too many other places with higher quality decision making skills in place. This guy lacks the ability to get it....I feel bad for the owners as he will hurt them financially while making no one safer during this time. Sad.... Stay away....

I visit here often. My major complaint is the roaches and the customer service you receive from the front desk operated by Vacasa As a regular guest at Surfside Resort I have to say things are going downhill. The roaches are all over the place. The front desk staff has no idea about anything going on as far as property upkeep. When I complained twice about the washer and dryers they told me they were never told about the out of order machines that have been out of order for a month. The list goes on save yourself the headache and stay elsewhere.

Very clean, very comfortable! Would definitely stay here again. We didn't swim in the pool or the hot tub..maybe next time. The bonfire on fridays and monday is nice. We stayed in 1401a. It was small, but perfect for 2 people. Fully furnished!

We had the great misfortune of renting our room for this nice property from what has to be the worst property manager I have ever encountered. They switched the rooms we reserved with preferable views of the gulf to rooms that looked over the parking garage and did so at a premium price Also, the two/three rooms we rented were absolutley filthy. My feet turned black after walking around the room for an hour, my wife found someone else hair in our shower and some DNA next to the master bed! My daughters bridal suite was so gross that we moved her out the next morning and into a new room in the condo that was managed by a much better firm. The floors in this new room were freshly mopped and the furniture was in great condition. The only comment the cleaning manager for counts Oakes made when she came to see the rooms was that it was obvious her team was not doing their job. However, we received no restitution for this unacceptable conditions. I have tried repeatedly to contact this firm through emails, texts, and phone calls but no one will respond. I cannot stress enough that you are wasting your money and will be extremely disappointed. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH Count Oakes properties.

This resort is directly across the beach road from the Gulf, has a sky bridge for direct access to the private beach, beach bar, full inside sports bar, full upscale restaurant, fitness room, on site spa and salon. Beautiful pool and hot tub. Everything you could want for a wonderful beach vacation.

First trip to this area , went with family , the resort was very clean , check in process was easy asked for early in- no problem, room was clean, beds were comfortable, couch not so much, large ice maker wasn’t working but we bought bag of ice & freezer had ice maker so no problem, was issued arm bands told to wear at all times to be on resort , was told to come back next day for new band, finally after a couple days was given rubber one but never saw anyone that seemed to care out us coming / going around resort , was a little disappointed pool bar was closed. Nice pool, realtor that worked Vacasa was friendly, wish they had Things to do book, restaurant books & local map on site would have been helpful as this was my first trip . All in all was very enjoyable

The rental place In front of SurfSide Resort is a little shady and deceiving. I do not recommend. For example: They charge 30$/hr and 100$/4hrs on the paddle boards. The stand 30ft from them charges 100 for the day!! They told me the local hourly rates but went blank when asking about local daily rates. So, Sept 9th, I rented for 2 hrs initially, but had to return an hour early because I needed take care of our little one. They come across like everything is fine and nothing is a big deal, until it is as I find out. I asked to get reimbursed for my hour not used and they said they cannot. They wanted to give me credits but I did not need their chairs, canoes or other equipment as I had my own. Also, to describe the character of this place... they told me initially my rental was 9:19am which was the actual time I received the equip. When I returned and asked for a credit, they put my rental time at 9:09. I asked “why the difference??” They said we “hook people up for a couple minutes.” So now that i asked about a return “I am not getting hooked up?” Well, actually, they are not hooking me up with anything, the credit card transaction was processed at 9:09 but after Danny explained the board usage and beach rundown etc , the actual rental is more around 9:15ish, hence why the 9:19 for rental start which is when ...I was given the board. Upon returning I asked them to write the return time on my receipt, they put 10:24. I asked why now 10:24 you just said 10:15? So, I actually showed up at 10:15, but they write down 10:24 talking about the refunds. This falsely adds about 20 minutes total to the rental. They won’t account for the “talking” time for rental start but do for rental return. This adds about 20 minutes up front. If they want to get it down to the minute and be that way, I don’t agree and will share my experience. Beware of this place...you may find yourself dealing with bad customer service and shadiness. Just a lot of bad vibes.....

Perfect location on the Emerald Coast in Miramar Beach. This 2 bedroom condo on the 4th floor was beautifully decorated, very comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen, TV in living room as well as both bedrooms. Wrap around patio was so nice to see the beach area and have my morning coffee. Look for it on Emerald Coast.com to book.

I write only on positive experiences except here. When I read the ad on Hotels.com they failed to mention that it did not have a traditional check-in process and we arrived just as the lobby closed. I had to knock on the closed door to get a parking pass. Then I had to pay a $435 cleaning fee to get my room assignment. We were told the fee was to have our room cleaned, after we left! The A/C clangs and is loud metallic echo chamber when you try to sleep at night. On the positive they have a great pool and the bridge walk to the beach is special. For the price the room was overrated. But location will keep the owners making money.

The Facility was average at best. The room was dirty and rundown. We will not do any further business there.
