As a first timer to Maui and Hawaii, I wasn't quite sure where to stay. A family member suggested Kihei and so I booked Maui Banyan. Easy to get to from the Airport, using the Public Bus System, you will get dropped off near the entrance. First impressions, this place is massive, or so it seems when you're on foot. The room is absolutely massive with spacious area inside, a super comfy bed and a balcony to let that cool island breeze come through. The beach is close by, as well as a mini shopping centre with some restaurants and take away. This area is super safe and super chilled. I could walk to the bus stop to go to a bigger shopping mall or to other parts of Maui. Easy to walk to the shops and restaurants. There is a coffee filter machine provided in the room however for a self confessed coffee lover, I needed more coffee :D Nearby Food and drinks are about 5-10 minutes away. Small selection or you could catch transport and go further into town. There is a nice outdoor pool within the grounds of the resort.
DEThe condo was great. It had all the necessary amenities to make our stay comfortable and was clean. Large fridge, oven etc. AC was strong, welcome for the hot days. The Pool and spa were great and well maintained (well heated). Parking was free and easy. The staff at reception was very welcoming and helpful. The location is close to shops, beach and also the boat ramp (snorkeling trips). Only minor quibble was a few of the non stick pans in kitchen were scratched, so should be replaced, hopefully by when we return again as we would definitely stay there again.
DESehr schöne Lage, komfortable und saubere Zimmer. Nur durch die Straße vom schönen Strand getrennt. Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe. Kostenloser Parkplatz. Freundliches Personal.
Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit 2 Queensize-Betten gebucht, beim Einchecken wurde uns gesagt, dass das nicht von booking.com übermittelt wurde. Nach einigem Hin und Her haben wir dann am nächsten Tag ein schönes Zimmer mit einem großen Kingsize Bett bekommen. Zimmerservice (Reinigung des Zimmers) gibt es nur alle 7 Tage und es war kein Besen oder Staubsauger im Zimmer vorhanden um selbst mal schnell zu kehren. Es ist anscheinend kein 'echtes' Hotel, sondern eher wie eine zentrale Verwaltung von privaten Zimmern und Appartments (wie airbnb) in diesem Gebäude.
