Staff was wonderful! A very special shout out to Denise, Fernando and Alfredo🤗 check in check out was seamless. We paid extra for the VIP probably would not do that again not worth the money. The rooms were great clean beds were fairly comfortable. The view from the rooms were great and the patio space was a plus. The beach wasn’t as accessible as I thought it would be from the reviews and the pictures. The resort was small, the atmosphere was great by the entertainment pool always a blast with Denise and Fernando, the entertainment was subpar and only in Spanish. The food was also subpar. A lot of people were sick when we were there, including myself and my husband. Definitely bring bug spray. The bugs are horrific. I think this resort has a lot of great potential. Only a 10 minute drive into the Malacon. Having said all that I did have a great time.

Barcelo Puerto Vallarta was fabulous. This is our second trip to this resort. The facilities are great. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the views are unbelievable. We could hear the soothing sounds of the ocean at night. The premium amenities are really nice and Cesar Lopez in the Premium lounge is a wonderful human.

We've enjoyed our 5 day stay at Barcelo. It's an easy taxi ride from the airport, located on a beautiful, isolated bay. So picturesque with the colorful boats moored in the bay. The atmosphere is fun -- a great place for young families with kids as well as older adults who can spend their time at the adults only pool! Although older adults, we enjoyed the "kids" side where we enjoyed the swim-up bar and the water exercise classes. In fact, the activities were what we liked the most. We did the stretching class every morning with Denise or Fernando, and the water exercise class at noon every day. It seemed if Denise led the stretching, Fernando led the water exercise, and vice versa. Both were always fun and excellent workouts. Those two were busy all day long, with guessing games, dance exhibitions, and soccer kick competitions-- everyone at the pool roared their excitement or disappointment with each kick. Denise particularly took the time to learn our anes and recognized us by name wherever we saw her. Her kindness and enthusiasm were especially appreciated. The food was good throughout, and plentiful in the all-inclusive format. Beside the breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet at La Fuente, there were 4 specialty restaurants. We enjoyed Don Quixite for tasty Spanish food, Capri's delicious Italian food, Los Arcos for steaks and seafood. We'd like to see a different method for making reservations, but it worked out every day! Our room was very comfortable, with a stunning view of the pools and the bay from the balcony. Everything was kept quite clean. And we thought it was a great value! Thanks, Barcelona! And Denise!

We enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately our room flooded when we had a shower. But they did upgrade us to a bigger room. I was disappointed about the lack of entertainment, it was not as fun. Service was good. I do worry about the decks and the railings. They look very unstable and dangerous. We were on the 6th floor and There was very distinct cracks all the way around them. That scared me so we didn’t lean on railing, of course. All in all was a good time. With good company so The lack of entertainment didn’t matter as much. I felt rejuvenated when I returned home.

Nice hotel right on the beach. We had room 1305 and the bed was horrible, had huge dips in either side of it. We would also go down for breakfast at 8am and the food was cold each morning, this was disappointing.
