Fantastic facilities. Beautiful comfortable rooms, super helpful staff. Ski concierge with ski storage adjacent to the slopes. Fresh cookies in the evening. Great location in Vail village.

I have been to Vail several times, stayed at other resorts and condos. This was without question the best one yet. The service and ease of staying there was exceptional. Every detail is carefully considered to make the stay enjoyable from the ski concierge ( could not have been easier to get skis/rent skis, have them at base of mountain near Gondola one, no walking in snow boots! they keep your shoes while you ski so you can leave ski boots there overnight!). Valet very professional and Concierge quite helpful.

My only slight concern was the breakfast I think was overpriced. $60 pp for a buffet is a bit steep and it was good but nothing out of the ordinary.

We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely return. The location is fantastic — so close to Vail Village, and the complimentary bus service made getting around incredibly easy. We especially loved the spa and the complimentary tea service, which was such a nice touch. The front desk associate who checked us in was very kind and welcoming, and the concierge was extremely helpful and friendly, which made our arrival and stay feel very smooth and stress-free. A few small notes about the room: even though it was very cold outside, the room stayed quite warm at night and we ended up sleeping with the door cracked every evening. The vanity plug-in mirror in our room didn’t work, and on the first night we placed the “no maid service” sign on the door, but housekeeping still entered and cleaned the room while we were out. Dining and service were overall great. At Bully Ranch, the hostess wasn’t the friendliest, but our server was wonderful and made up for it. The staff at The King’s Club were fantastic — our waitress was from Costa Rica and was absolutely lovely. The German mulled hot wine was delicious, and her recommendation of the Tequila Mockingbird was excellent. I was hoping for a true chai latte, but the one at Trefe Café tasted more like warm milk with cinnamon rather than a traditional chai. On the positive side, the valet and room service staff were amazing, and the spa team was incredibly kind and welcoming — they truly made the experience special. Overall, a beautiful hotel with great amenities, a perfect location, and mostly excellent service. Just a few small details to improve, but we had a very enjoyable stay.

Wonderful family atmosphere, fireplace in the room, tremendous service. Centrally located but does have most modern features. Steps from Coveted Bridge. Spa was small, but nice.

The Sonanalp Hotel is authentic with facilities and staff you won’t find anywhere else. Not like the other “chain” hotels that all seem the same. We keep going back year after year and will continue to do so.

Always enjoy staying at Sonnenalp. Easy reservation process. Beautiful decor and ambiance. Professional and courteous staff. Great concierge assistance. Slope side ski storage are.
