Incredibly beautiful hotel and room, friendly and helpful staff (they got us into an upgraded room way earlier than standard check-in time), and excellent pool/hotubs/spa area (all included). The breakfast included with our reservation was also delicious and expansive. Only issue (which is not really their fault) was that we almost got stuck on an elevator and a staff member had to pry open the jammed door a bit for us to squeeze out into the lobby. The elevator remained out of service the rest of our stay which made getting to/from our floor slow because only one elevator remained operational.

The Sonnenalp never fails to make a holiday special. The staff are always so willing to help in my way possible. The rooms are beautiful as is the spa area. No amenities are forgotten and the attention to detail with everything is spot on. The entertainment in the bar always brings everyone together happily and the food in all venues is delicious, and reasonably priced. We can’t recommend the Sonnenalp more ..

perfect spot for Vail vacation. I have been to Vail several times, stayed at other 5 star resorts and VRBO accommodations, this is the best one so far. everything from booking, to arrival, to departure was smooth, well organized, with attention to detail. The ski concierge is the best idea every, you walk there in normal boots, and then it is a short walk in ski boots to the gondola. No struggling in ski boots or carrying your skis to the lifts. the rooms are more spacious than the pictures show and it was very peaceful and comfortable. Front desk staff, restaurant staff, and valet were simply outstanding with every interaction. will stay here again 100%!

Everything was perfect — from the beautiful rooms to the warm and attentive service. The hotel has such a cozy atmosphere that truly makes you feel at home. The staff feels like one big family, always kind and welcoming. A special mention to Zyra from the spa, who was incredibly sweet and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed. We had an amazing stay and will definitely come back.

They are uncooperative and completely inflexible when dealing with guests. They put their own parochial interests ahead of establishing enduring relationships with guests. I suggest people consider other options.

Fantastic facilities. Beautiful comfortable rooms, super helpful staff. Ski concierge with ski storage adjacent to the slopes. Fresh cookies in the evening. Great location in Vail village.

I have been to Vail several times, stayed at other resorts and condos. This was without question the best one yet. The service and ease of staying there was exceptional. Every detail is carefully considered to make the stay enjoyable from the ski concierge ( could not have been easier to get skis/rent skis, have them at base of mountain near Gondola one, no walking in snow boots! they keep your shoes while you ski so you can leave ski boots there overnight!). Valet very professional and Concierge quite helpful.

My only slight concern was the breakfast I think was overpriced. $60 pp for a buffet is a bit steep and it was good but nothing out of the ordinary.
