The Sonnenalp is such a wonderful place to stay in Vail — cozy, great staff, and convenient given the Skihaus right at the base of Gondola 0ne

We are repeat guests as the hospitality at the Sonnenalp is so good. The hotel is family owned, and they pay close attention to detail. The housekeeping service is exceptional (a rarity post covid). There is an excellent choice of services from "budget" (this is Vail after all) to very fine dining.

Our stay at the Sonnenalp was amazing. Anyone looking for a true Alpine feel, this is the hotel for you. Super charming; the staff was very friendly and accommodating; the location is very good; near shops and restaurants. This was my first stay at the Sonnenalp; I will definitely be going back again.

We are from Vegas, have stayed in a lot of hotels, but Sonnenalp was by far one of the best we've stayed at. The service, the view, the well-kept and clean rooms, the food...all second to none. We were so impressed with the staff, from valet to front desk to Ludwigs Breakfast, concierge to check-out, they were amazing. I highly recommend. This property was so cozy and lovely, with the views and snowfall outside, it was like being in a storybook. We will be back. <3

We have stayed here roughly 10 times and have told friends and family about it. They are all hooked. Yes you could find fancy namebrand hotels but none of them would compete to this place. It’s luxury plus charm! It has European warmth. We’ve traveled extensively and stayed in many places, but this is always our favorite.

Absolutely the Best! Welcome here since 3 years ago to celebrate our Anniversary! This year was no. 20th! The attention to taking care of our room, knowing us by name, being able to do our workouts, the Sauna, the Steam, the spa, the outdoor jacuzzis, the food!!! the fluffy towels, the shampoo and conditioner, all of the above, are just the best. Highly recommend 💕 Heated Floors and Personal fireplace, just so hard to choose out Favorite part of the whole experience. Sonnenlap staff really knows how to take care of you.

I love this hotel so much! You enter and you step into Europe which is so special. I have stayed here on vacation during thanksgiving and loved it. Most recently I hosted a beautiful private dinner for my wedding celebration. The event specialist Huthesia Kadiwa was incredible to work with. She made my dinner feel so special and elevated. Honestly made my visions for my intimate wedding celebration come true. I looked at so many locations, but Sonnenalp was top notch and making it happen. They have so options for your needs from small to large. Mine was a size of 16 and was perfect!! Can't wait to make more memories here.

My husband and I recently had our wedding at the Sonnenalp hotel. We had the most amazing experience there and would recommend to anyone looking to have a wedding in the mountains. The staff was an absolute pleasure to work with and the coordination team including Maggie Corrigan and Kasha Dunne made the planning process and true joy and an absolute breeze! This hotel has been a favorite for a very long time but having our event there with our wonderful experience truly made it our favorite for life!

Great hotel with 5-star service throughout. Comfortable beds. Rooms with fireplace. The breakfast buffet is excellent. Feels like you are in a fine European hotel, not an American hotel chain. Sonnenalp is by far the best hotel in Vail.

Spoiled rotten! This is a dream location and resort. Highly recommend! We especially loved the heated bathroom floors!
