Breakfast room staff

Unfortunately the gentleman on reception was not as he was last year. His manor was very condescending and made us feel very unwelcome.

We have stayed here previously; we love the location and the quaint feel of the hotel and rooms. The rooms are extra big, and they have a good variety for breakfast.

I was incredibly disappointed in the fact that the elevator was out of service, and this was not even mentioned to us during booking or before our arrival, or quite honestly until we were standing in front of it. We were then booked on the second floor without being asked if it was okay, especially considering we had quite a bit of large luggage to CARRY and DRAG up 3 flights of stairs. We also completely unloaded and dragged all our luggage OUT of the hotel upon checkout without any offer of assistance. We were not offered any sort of help with our luggage (or device to carry), an apology, or any sort of consideration in asking us if we preferred a different level since the elevator was out of order. We politely did not complain while we were there, expecting some sort of apology or compensation for being pleasant patrons. Instead, we overhead 2 staff members one night, talking loudly about the "asshole people" "complaining about the elevator", after they had a confrontation with another couple about the elevator. Of course, your patrons were frustrated about the elevator! Especially the way it was handled! The unprofessionalism of your staff is what led me to write a review, because I actually love this hotel.

"Relaxing stay at a beautiful location."

Beautiful location and property. Hot tub was relaxing. Front desk attendant was friendly. Waterfall was within walking distance.

Would have liked extended hours for pool and fitness center.
