The location, easy walk to coffee shops, dinner etc. quiet at night, the night we were there. Location to hospital and surgery unit mere minutes away so found that very useful. Staff very friendly. The free breakfast was more than usual. Egg, sausage, yogurt, fruit,coffee etc.i. Clean sheets and towels, comfortable beds.

The hotel is located in the older historical part of town. There are special street people wandering around which could be disconcerting but we have found not harmful. U

Great location, comfortable bed, friendly staff. Offered breakfast but we slept in. Location is good for places to eat as well. Will stay there again.

Heard traffic & the train from our room, but that was to be expected, so we could be close to the Sandman Centre. Would have like the a/c to work better (or a fan near the bed) however it is an old building, so once again, not surprised.

Tv was hard to connect to think that the batteries needed changing on the remote control. Coffee in the room was decaffeinated and that's the only thing I didn't like.

Worst hotel experience in my life and I've stayed in hundreds of hotels. I had to cancel my credit card because there was some very suspicious behavior from the hotel and the staff were very shady.

I used to travel to Kamloops for business and (10-15 years ago) always enjoyed the Plaza. Funky, friendly, warm, and cozy. Nice restaurant back in the day. So I persuaded my wife to stay there for old time's sake. Boy, was I wrong. It has definitely slid downhill. Very surprised it's a Wyndham hotel. Must be a very poor cousin to the Wyndham clan. Needs some very serious $$ to upgrade. Needs to think about what it wants to me: right now it's a pub that happens to offer rooms. So: don't even think about parking (out of the question; full up with, I assume, pub-goers - we parked 2 nights on the street). Bring ear plugs; even on the 4th floor the smokers/partiers/yahoos down on the street at 1:30 AM didn't help with a good night's sleep. Breakfast? Don't even try - head across the street to Hello Toast. Much much better. And the dangling wires from the smoke alarm? Not encouraging. I'll try to post a couple of pics. The street surrounding the hotel made it look like skid row. I'm genuinely saddened by how it's slipped.

The location

The female behind the desk out right lied about vacancy and my payment. Said that they didn't receive my payment. And it was clearly taken from my account. Booking.com confirmed that yes, they did have my payment and refused to return it until booking.com told them to refund it. Then refused me to rent a room saying they were all booked. When again, booking.com confirmed there were rooms available.
