Divi Flamingo Beach Resort & Casino

I've been coming to this resort annually since 1990 and have noticed a real improvement in recent years in attending to the needs of guests. This year, for example, I experienced two issues: the room safe did not work properly and the air conditioning problem (turned off repeatedly for no apparent reason) that turned out to be corrosion of the wires to the condenser on the rooftop, caused by salty marine air. I'd like to recognize Renate and Sara at the front desk, Rudi and William in security for fixing my safe, and Giovanni in maintenance for their assistance, and a special shout-out to Albert the maintenance manager for climbing on the roof in the Caribbean heat to diagnose and fix the air con problem without delay. Thank you to the entire team for turning a frustrating situation into a positive experience. I appreciated the excellent service.

Been coming to this magical place since the mid 1980’s. Outstanding as always. Dive shop management and staff - spectacular. Special thanks to Sarah, Jacqueline & ET for a fabulous experience. Dive masters - excellent. Special thanks to Denise, Ruud, Nicole and Andy for a wonderful week of amazing diving. Boats, docks, equipment - superb. Renovated rooms very comfortable and breakfast buffet delicious. Thank you Divi Divi for another great vacation!!!

Another great week of diving with the dive shop at Divi Flamingo resort. Dive masters were extremely help my recently acquired physical limitations. Look for to another dive trip. The food and food service at the resort was great also.

Personeel heel aardig. Zwembad, faciliteit dat er restaurant is, bar, de zee, het zwembad. Dat 1 nacht mogelijk was en een kosteloze late check out. Super fijn.

Het eten. Bij het restaurant waren de ribs verbrand en heb het stuk dat echt te verbrand was terug moeten sturen. Volgende dag ook een chicken quesadilla besteld (ook voor betaald), maar er zat helaas geen kip in. Smaakte wel goed.

It’s always a challenge to rate this resort overall. Diving and restaurants five stars, accommodations two stars (if being generous). Great place for divers but not for a non-diving family type vacation. DIVING - Sarah, dive operation manager, has made it absolutely awesome. Local reef is great easy diving off the dock with abundant sea life, including turtles, eels, octopus, seahorses. Boat dives are safe, convenient, easy in/out and exceptional dive instructor guides. Ruud, Denise and Maggie are our fav. ET is always available to assist on the dock if needed and Poppie and Jackie provide ready support inside the dive shop. RESTAURANTS - Great variety of fresh delicious meals including vegetarian options. Very scenic ocean views and a relaxing pace. Breakfast buffet has all the basics including an omelet chef and made to order pancakes. Many thanks to Tern, Kenderly, Peet’s, Juhedy and Jen for their friendly excellent service. Only negative is the inconsistent oatmeal, some days delicious and others it’s extremely soupy and inedible. They need measuring cups!!! GROUNDS - Beautifully landscaped and well kept. Amazing ground crew. ACCOMMODATIONS - Basic, outdated, and frequent visitors named it “shabby chic” many years ago. It’s worth staying here for the convenience and diving opportunities though! Just set expectations accordingly. Daily housekeeping is excellent but rooms need a really deep cleaning between visitors.

The resort staff were friendly and helpful. Great dive reef at property with easy in and out from two docks on North and South side of property. Air and EAN tanks available, along with defog and rinse stations for all types of gear. Lockers next to dock helpful to store and dry gear overnight. Boat crew was awesome and helpful ID'ing hard to find sea life like sea horses and sea frogs. Parking vehicle on property was limited but easy to find spots just outside entrance. We had package which included food. Meals offered something for everyone and offered different themes each night. while we mainly ate buffet as part of larger group, the options were very good and some of best I have experienced. A great value overall and would recommend to others.

It was my third trip to Divi Bonaire. There is plenty to like about this resort. Close to airport, close to the reefs / diving, 2 nice pools w hot tubs, pretty good food on site, but close to town for walking and differing dining experiences. They need to upgrade their dining menu more often. The (studio) rooms are pretty clean, but need a refresh. My patio door was broken, and there was no shower curtain? I did have to change rooms, as did my friend, whose AC stopped working. The food and beverage staff was great as always. Many thanks to the services of our favorite gals, Preeti and Juheidy!! Thanks also to Elton, Nereina, Edith, Elton and more. A big hug to Darinka, who brightened up our mornings!! The Dive team was great. Nice boats, easy, safe diving, great customer service from Andy, Kimberly, James, Brandon, Laurel, Nicole, Ismar and E.T. Also Poppi and Jackie in the office. The manager is a bit on the stern side, but the team was great. Good, easy vacation diving, with healthy reefs and lots of fish. Saw Octopus (thanks James!) squids (thanks Kimberly!) and seahorses (Tks Andy!) along with turtles, rays, eels, dolphins and more. If you dive all over the Caribbean, the health of the reefs here is a welcome sight.

Location was excellent-just a stone's throw from the airport and bustling downtown area. The amenities were perfect and the wait staff were always present and attentive. They offered excellent recommendations for food and activities. The diving was incredible and the crew at the Dive Shop were just as impressive. The provided SCUBA gear lockers were 30 steps from the boat. The boats were modern and easy to get into/out of. Worth every penny. Atmosphere all around was chill and peaceful.
