"Average, no soul, staff nowhere to be seen"

5.0

location was excellent, rooms were very comfortable and spotless and good size

staff at reception while professional not very friendly, lack of staff, felt more like a self catering apartment complex, no pool bar or place you could have lunch.. surrounding a little tired.. have stayed in many 5 star hotels, this does not compare..

"Another lovely stay"

10.0

Yet again another great stay. Stayed in room 670 junior club suite, 17 - 27 March, and was spotless. All the staff are very nice and always greet you with a smile and are a credit to the hotel. The staff in the club breakfast/drinks area are so professional and friendly, always ready to help. I can't recommend the Volcano enough and will return for visit Number six in the near future. Only slight downside was some noisy neighbours one night who I think had just arrived and obviously in the holiday mood having a door slamming contest, but like the weather nothing the hotel could do about that. Keep up the good work and see you soon

"Fabulous Hotel"

10.0

This is a fabulous Hotel in every way and the location beside the port is perfect. Would definitely stay again. We stayed in March so there were a lot of retired people not many families or younger people but that could be different during the Summer. Plenty of restaurants nearby and lovely promenade walks along the sea.

"Excellent return visit."

10.0

Our second stay at the Livvo Volcano and it won’t be our last. We stayed on and B & B basis. The checkin is very efficient. We were in room 587 and it is quite a walk from everywhere. We were aware of the layout having been before but on your first time it does take a bit of getting around. The room has everything you need but I do agree with previous comments that the bathrooms need updating. I struggled with the shower being over the bath. Most hotels these days have walk-in showers. The Rituals products are a lovely treat in the bathroom. The breakfast is excellent. Anyone that finds a problem with what’s on offer has to be the one that’s got a problem. Lovely fresh products although some morning you were waiting for fresh fruits to be replenished. Being so close to the marina with all the lovely restaurants is a real bonus and the prices are very acceptable. We listened to rock band on our first night in the hotel but with people leaving jackets and cardigans on chairs reserving their seats we didn’t bother any other nights. We had a problem with our safe one day and within minutes of me reporting it someone was there to fix it. The place is spotless and the staff work incredibly hard. The water machines are an excellent touch. We had a power cut one night about midnight and there was no emergency lighting which we didn’t feel was safe. It came back on in the middle of the night. My only other real criticism is seeing the life guards sat there every day at each pool location with virtually no one in the pools due to the weather. It seemed such a lonely job for the. I understand the safety of needing a life guard but not when there’s no one using the pool. The building noise that you’re warned of does not interfere with you holiday at all. Pay about the weather but that isn’t anyone’s fault.

"I’ll be back asap."

10.0

Another visit to Volcan. Can’t stay away. Lovely hotel. Beautiful buildings, lovely pools (bit chilly in some), great buffet restaurant, staff fabulous - who wouldn’t go back again ? Rooms clean and spacious. Not the cheapest hotel available but you get what you pay for and we don’t regret a little more money for something lovely. Quiet location even though only 5 minutes from marina. And that’s one of the best locations in Playa Blanca. Loads of great restaurants but not many bar only places. Brings me to one criticism, no poolside / exterior bar open until early evening / dinner time. But… I mentioned to hotel that they are missing revenue by this and I had a response that they are addressing it. Also mentioned that bath towels aren’t the largest and I’m not large. Again they are looking into this. Positive responses. I’ll be back. Most definitely.

"Great location"

8.0

Booked a short break on B&B basis. On arrival you are greeted with the church on the way to reception, which is beautiful and adds to the charm of the place. Check in quick and easy with very friendly and polite staff and a porter to take your case and show you to your room. Room nicely decorated although not modern but in keeping with a colonial feel. The bathroom while big needed modernising with only a mixer shower from the bath taps and no extraction so like a steam room when showered. We had room 590 which overlooked the castle and views of Fuerteventura. Room made up and towels changed every day. Dining area was pleasant with a very good selection for breakfast. Self serve hot drinks from machines. Plenty of fresh produce served. Did not have evening meal so cannot comment. Also did not try the snack bar but saw people having pizza that looked nice. We just bought snacks and drinks from the shop to have around the pool. Didn’t try the Spa as the only day we had free was Sunday and it is closed that day. Typical. Didn’t try the bar as it opens a 8pm and we were eating out every night, would have had a drink before going out. Good access to Marina Rubicon via the back gate near the big pool. Overall, a very good and spotlessly clean hotel. Would return if wanting a hotel on the marina. NOTE this is a large, spread out hotel and is not for people with mobility issues. We were on level 5 but from reception you had to go to level 4 in a lift then up some stairs back to level 5. Lots of steps and slopes to manage.

"Wanna be 5 star hotel let down by the bathroom."

8.0

An excellent hotel in most respects: exemplary staff, service & facilities; beautifully spread & landscaped on the Rubicon Marina; close to quality bars & restaurants & a short promenade walk away from the Playa Blanca seafront. Our tastefully decorated room was large, light, very comfortable & provided with a tv offering plenty of English speaking channels. However, we felt the room it was let down by the bathroom. The shower was contained in the bath, which meant clambering in & the loo was very low. The majority of customers seem to be pre retirement or of retirement age & some bathroom refurbishment with their needs in mind would make this hotel perfect five-star accommodation.
