Hotel LIVVO Volcán Lanzarote

Visited Lanzarote for the 1st time, was recommended the Livvo Volcan, must say it was a pleasure to stay there, hotel is very well presented with a stunning reception area!, the staff on reception where very welcoming and helpful, we had a room over looking the gardens which was the perfect location as it was not far from the restaurant, pool and back gate to the Marina. The breakfast was very nice, plenty of choice, the staff are very attentive and quick to restock or clean away what was needed, Our suite was a lovely size, equipped with fridge, Tea / Coffee and a huge TV, which a surprise, the bathroom was very spacious, the only thing that let it down was the floor tiles and shower, the tiles needed re grouting and the toilet seat is due for a replacement and the shower screen leaked!. The hotel had a very laid back atmosphere, plenty of pools and sunbeds to choose from, entertainment every night in the Cocktail Bar which was good and varied, drinks reasonably priced, the only issue was not having access to getting a coffee etc when the main restaurant & pool bar closed, maybe in busier times of the year the pool bar stays open for longer?.... On the whole, the Hotel is in a fabulous location, the marina is stunning, plenty of places to eat and drink although we did have to book most nights, so if you don't want to miss out, make sure you book, its also very easy to walk about. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side for the 1st few days, no rain but a very cold wind, which resulted in us and a lot of other guests having to buy warmer clothes!, however, once this pasted its was lovely and hot, would definitely recommend the hotel and the area and will come back.

Lovely hotel, terrible weather. It is a lovely hotel. The rooms are big and our maid/cleaner Ana Lucia is friendly and very helpful. The food excellent for most guests. The vegan choice is limited but the chefs and staff do make a special effort for us and we are extremely grateful for that. Unfortunately this visit the weather has been unusually bad but hey ho, you can't win them all.

We had a wonderful stay at the Volcan Hotel. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it easy to relax. The location was also excellent, with beautiful surroundings and convenient access to nearby attractions. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, and we would happily stay here again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay!

This is an excellent hotel. It was designed by an inspired architect, who has created something very special. The entrance is an oasis of calm and and it has to be seen to be believed. We just loved the place. We opted for Club Volcan rooms and it was well worth the extra, although I'm sure we would have been just as pleased with standard rooms. We'll be back!

Fab location, comfortable rooms, hotel decor & grounds are lovely. Most staff are really welcoming & helpful. Great breakfast & afternoon tea/early bar included in Club Volcan for adults is very good.

Difficult to find your way round as it’s quite big with few signs, especially from Club Volcan area. Some restaurants & bars were closed during our stay due to lack of staff. Same people reserving sunbeds with towels every day, hotel should have policy not allowing this.

A great hotel close to the marina, the smarter end of the La Playa Blanca. Very friendly and helpful staff and the hotel is modern and clean and tidy. There are several swimming pools, one of which is exclusive for club members, with balinese beds and loungers. Here there is also a swim up bar. The hotel is full of mainly British older folk at this time of the year and they tend to irritatingly hog the beds and loungers all day. It would be better if the hotel adopted a policy of removing unoccupied bed towels. The buffet restaurant was the only one serving evening food as the à la carte restaurants were not open apparently due to staff shortages which was disappointing, but there are many local restaurants to dine out. Good idea to book as they can be busy even out of season. The indoor spa pool was nice but you need to book as there are limited spaces. There is varied evening entertainment in the Los Jameos bar or the Habana lobby bar which was generally quite good for a couple of hours each night, Overall a very pleasant stay. Transfer to the airport is easy, just get a taxi from the rank outside, €50, and from hotel just ask reception to book one for you. Very straightforward.

Charming service everywhere

We have recently returned from fabulous week at the Vulcan. I can't recommend the hotel more highly! We were a party of 7, 3 couples and a 9 mth old baby, booked into 3 Garden View rooms, b&b. We were in rooms 213, 215 & 216, all of which had great views and got the sun. I emailed the hotel 2 weeks before arrival asking if it was possible for us to have rooms close together and would like to thank Francesca on reception for making this happen. She and all the staff were so helpful and pleasant. Re the rooms, they are a great size and well equipped. There's a full sized hairdryer, a kettle and Rituals shampoo/shower gel, conditioner, hand-wash and handcream. Each has a small fridge and large tv with English channels. There were always plenty of sun loungers available with lots of different areas to sit. The gardens were lovely and well kept. The small childrens play area had artificial grass which was a godsend with a baby who was crawling and trying to walk! The choice at breakfast was huge and I'd like to thank Mercedes and the restaurant team for checking how long we were staying and making up an table for us everyday, with a high chair. Also for trying so hard to make baby Luca smile! The only cons were, as always seems to happen in Canarian hotels,the shower screen wasn't really big enough, so if you put the shower on full you could soak the bathroom floor. The beds were firm. Our whole group said we would happily return 😊

Our third stay at this lovely hotel, and it’s great to see so many improvements and investments being made. It’s targeted at mature couples, and has a wonderful, tranquil, spa-like atmosphere and smell! Rooms are spacious, with a sitting area as well as a bedroom, and there’s loads of space to just chill out around the hotel. We stay in the adults-only Club Volcan area, which includes an excellent table-service breakfast (the menu has been upgraded since our last visit). There’s also afternoon tea every day and a free bar for 90 minutes each evening. The activities are a credit to the hotel. We went to a watercolours and wine workshop, and would have liked to have done the jewellery-making class had time allowed. Staff are friendly, efficient and very hard-working. We will definitely return!
