Meliá Benidorm

La habitación que nos tocó, nada más entrar olia muchisimo a tabaco, bajamos a recepción para comunicarlo nos dijeron que enseguida subia un compañero, tardaron 30 minutos y no subió nadie volvimos a preguntar y dijeron que enviarían a alguien, luego fuimos al buffet por que se nos pasaba la hora, y cuando subimos parecia como si hubiesen limpiado por encima pero el olor aun seguia en la habitación, la verdad una pena porque no pudimos dormir mucho por aquel olor

The hotel has a great location. There is a Lidl supermarket right next to it, and the beach is only a 10-minute walk away. The swimming pool is large, clean, and very well maintained. No matter what time of day you go to the pool, you can always find a sun lounger. The hotel also has a beautiful garden, and complimentary bottled water is provided in the room every day. The view of the pool from the terrace is amazing. The staff are friendly and welcoming. There is an underground parking garage available for a daily fee. If I visit the area again, this hotel will definitely be one of my top choices. Another thing I really liked was that the hotel provides Rituals toiletries in the bathroom. It was a nice touch and added a more luxurious feel to the stay.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. However, there are a few areas that could be improved. The air conditioning often produced an unpleasant smell when it was turned on. The elevators felt quite shaky and, in my opinion, could benefit from maintenance. Another downside was the dinner service. Drinks were not included and had to be paid for separately. In addition, the food selection was rather limited and seemed to be the same every evening. The hotel could improve the dining experience by offering more variety and a wider range of options.

It was all GREAT.

We just arrived home after 2 amazing weeks at the Melia Benidorm and had the level upgrade which I must say was absolutely worth every penny This is the second time we have stayed here and both my wife and 4 year old daughter Sophia loved it . Maria was the customer service guest manager and she was absolutely amazing and really made our visit more special The level option is a must and has the more private area and better option of breakfast and of course the bar had the international drinks as part of the level like Smirnoff , Bacardi , whisky all top brands as well as a good choice of beers. The room we had was 2059 which was on the 20 th floor and could not believe how spacious the room was and the view was something else both daylight and at night. The sunsets every night was breath taking The kids club and Mini disco was Brilliant. Our daughter Sophia could not wait to get to the mini disco every other and excellent for kids from 3 -12 . Special thanks to Christina , Ava , Pablo and another young boy I forgot his name but was also worth a mention. The staff were second to none and the service was just top notch and made us feel very welcome again highly recommend staying here . There were 2 bars at the pool side and a bar in the main hallway on the reception level. The beach was literally only a 10 minute walk and the promenade is something else and very busy both day and night. So to summarise the Melia Benidorm is a very good choice for families and Couples a like . We will be back in summer 2027.

We booked a The Level room but I won’t deny we got off to a rocky start. We arrived early (around 12:30) from our package holiday flight but were told our room would be ready shortly. After hours waiting we were told check in was firmly 16:00. If we’d been told this when checking in we’d have got our swimming things out of the case & enjoyed an afternoon by the pool. However, from this point on the hotel could not do enough for us. The room was amazing & the staff who seemed to have come in shift & inherited the problem were fantastic. The manager & receptionist made a point of speaking to us every opportunity & we’re genuinely concerned that we were happy. Later in our stay our room developed a very minor leak from the ceiling , we weren’t bothered as it wasn’t causing inconvenience but reported it to reception. We were then upgraded to an absolutely amazing suite on the top floor. Once again the staff were fantastic throughout this process. Overall we had a wonderful experience & would definitely return to this hotel. I think the lesson learned here is that it’s the staff & their commitment to providing outstanding customer service that makes a good hotel great.
