Hilton Garden Inn Syracuse

Very unprofessional experience at this hotel. I was put in room 237 after I arrived and tried to check in. Around dinner time, there was a loud noise in the room and Kim up front informed me it was their kitchen fan and it would turn off at 10:30. And naturally, they had no other rooms to put me. And had conveniently forgot to tell me when I checked in that my sleep was going to be interrupted every night for the six nights I had booked. Despite Kim telling me she had issued a refund when I insisted on checking out, I found out later it was one of my lies she and the hotel management conveyed. I had to call corporate many times before they issued a refund a week later. Overall very unprofessional service for an average hotel. I have no idea why they think anyone would want to sleep in a loud room. I am in Syracuse often for work and decided to give them a try for this visit. Wrong decision. Thankfully I was able to get a room in the Hampton inn by the airport. Brand new hotel and the kind welcome I received made up for this horrible experience.

Staff was friendly. Room was just average. Second night of the stay there was a child's birthday party so pool and hot tub was not available. The next morning, the pool area was full of wet towels, candy wrappers, etc. Breakfast "buffet" was way overpriced at $13.95 for what many places would offer for free. Both nights, the lobby was full of families and children that took over the tables and fireplace area. And we had to park at the hotel next door on the second night because every single parking spot was full. This would not be my first choice to stay on future trips.

Often stay at a Hilton Garden Inn’s. This particular visit was In your Syracuse location on Fairlake rd. First time here. Always a pleasant experience. Looking forward to more visits. Thank you
