Swimming pool with sauna, gym, excellent breakfast

It was very hot night of 26th June 26 and paying for a high price hotel you expect everything to work. Unfortunately the air-condition was down and we had a very uncomfortable night. Honestly we should be refunded or offer a voucher to stay another day. Additionally I was also disappointed that there was no fridge in the room.

Semi modern. It was set on nice grounds. Fool was nice. Lounge area was spacious and modern with a pool table. All The leisure centre staff and breakfast staff were lovely.

£7:20 for a Guinness. Wow. And price not advertised anywhere. The food was very expensive and on par with Weather-spoons, or below. 2 rude male staff on Thursday night we arrived, really didn’t seem to care about customer service and offered no solution to me complaining about cold food. The guy with the glasses was completely vacant while taking an order, zero eye contact and rude. it was hard to find any bar staff generally, so we went elsewhere for drinks and food during the 4 night stay. The duty manager during check in and check out didn’t seem to like answering questions and looked like he’d been in the role for too long and didn’t want to be there.

Lovely large room for me and the dogs also complimentary dog biscuit and water. Beautiful outside spaces to walk and staff very helpful as a alone traveler.

“The room was very warm during the hot weather, and we couldn’t keep the windows open. Breakfast looked amazing, but the food wasn’t very hot. The evening meal in the bar was very good.”

The staff were all great, especially the bar staff that stayed on while the world cup was on.
