The Park Royal Hotel & Spa

Elizabeth was very welcoming and made sure she didn't say my room number at reception as a female travelling solo but showed me to make sure I could read it .

Only spending 1 night there

I always stay at The Park Royal when I visit family in the area. The rooms are comfortable and have plenty of room. The staff are welcoming and friendly, especially Victoria on reception, who is cheerful and helpful. Breakfasts are delicious and there is plenty of choice.

Really enjoyed my stay, room was modern and clean, facilities were top notch, Hannah on the front desk was exceptionally helpful and accomodating. I did email 3 days in advance to check if somewhere secure could be provided to store my mountain bike, unfortunately didn't receive a response which meant I had to travel without my bike rack (to keep my bike secure inside the car), this is the only thing stopping me giving 5 stars. soon as I arrived Hannah found me somewhere secure and sorted the situation for me.

Old, tired interior that’s drab and depressing - it is in serious need of refurbishment & modernisation

Warm welcome, nice shared areas such as the reception area, well signposted. Comfortable bed and extra pillows if needed. Parking free and easy. Spacious room - clean Warm swimming pool and nice spa and sauna facilities.

Room was very dated - Furniture was very 80's/90s style Breakfast was disappointing - Had to ask for hot water as all 3 jugs empty for a cup of tea. Had to ask for plates as none available (9:30am on a Saturday) Had to ask for pastries as the stands were empty. Had to ask for fruit and bacon as these too were also empty. Didn't think that the staff member on the reception desk was professional (Very loudly complaining to another guest that she had to work until 3:30pm and she didn't know why she kept being put on at weekends) No tea and coffee or kettle in the bedroom (Double standard room)
