"Very impressive for the price"

8.0

I took a junior suite which turned out to be just a typical hotel room with a small lobby. Take a "smart" junior suite if you are looking for more comfortable stay. The hotel's staff work was impeccable.

"Not a bad hotel."

Good Hotel for the price I paid. It is located not far to most attractions if you use public transportation.

"Great experience"

8.0

It was a great stay. Even though I am pure vegetarian, I was able to have awesome buffet breakfast which had a large delicious variety to choose from. Also since I do not know Russian language staff was very supportive and I was happy for troubles unlike other places. All in all it was a nice experience.

"Great stay at Azimut, St.P!"

8.0

Stayed 10 days at Azimut Hotel, St.Petersburg. Enjoyed my stay. Missed air condition and a cooler/fridge at the room + room-service, but other than that, im really satisfied with the hotel and my stay. Not everyone could speak english either, but many nice people worked there and could. Would rate 4 out of 6, in my opinion, totally :) Thanks!

"Decent place to stay"

6.0

Included breakfast was quite extensive, good variety of food. Room was small, but clean. Bed was fine, though I requested a king and was given a single. The room was warm and I was not able to locate a thermostat. A bit of a walk from the metro, but not too bad.

"short stay break"

6.0

Room had no aircon and night temperatures had to have windows open. Traffic noise all night. Bed was not the best, wifi unreliable as was the TV service and no room facilities. Water was yellow with one water cooler per floor. Restaurants were OK but limited variety. Location was good for visit, not far from bus and metro, most places were within walking distance. Staff were always pleasant and helpful.

"Beware"

6.0

Large Soviet era hotel circa 1970s. Pros : Helpful staff mainly English speaking - food in the German/ Italian restaurant good quality and not expensive - location reasonable but not withing walking distance of tourist attractions. Cons : Standard rooms very small - if you use the hotel restaurant or large lobby bar you cannot charge to your room so you have to pay case or use your credit card every time you order something. Note : Since August 2013 the hotel is under major reconstruction - some facilities such as the panoramic bar are closed - seems that floor by floor the hotel will be completely refurbished but noise can now be a facor. Recommendation - dont book this hotel until all renovation works have been completed.

"The average rating paints the accurate picture"

6.0

The hotel was OK. Some rooms are recently updated. Rooms are very small though. When I first checked in, they didn't have non-smoking rooms! but after talking to a manager, they found one :). Breakfast was included and had a large menu; however, be aware that this hotel accommodates a lot of large groups so the breakfast restaurant gets very busy in the morning. I stayed in the hotel because of its proximity to where I needed to be, but it is not very close to the downtown (not walkable distance).

"dirty, stingy room & unpleasant experience"

4.0

Hotel room was not assigned what was on the hotel reservation sheet. My room should've been a non-smoking room but I was accomodated in a smoking room. I complained, but the receptionist rudely said, it was non-smoking room. I could'nt believe it. The room was too small and I could even smell weird things when I first entered the room. Don't wanna stay here next time. Staff's Attitude is the problem, I think.

"Good"

6.0

This is a massive hotel. They say the rooms are being refurbished, but mine, inevitably, had not been. So the decor was rather tired. Not much storage space. No kettle, no bottled water. Hair dryer available on request. Free wifi in the rooms. Comprehensive buffet breakfast. Don't drink the water from the taps unless you like a metallic taste with your water. This is a St Petersburg issue, not specific to the hotel. Fortunately, there was a water cooler at the end of the corridor. The website (through hotels.com) says there is a gym / fitness centre in the hotel. There is not. There is a gym next door to the hotel, but that is not included in the price of your room. You have to pay 800 roubles per day (possibly 500 roubles if you use it before 5pm?) Still, it is a proper gym, with lots of treadmills, bikes, loads of weights and machines, spinning room, pool (I think), sauna, etc.
