Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Dover

The hotel room and lobby were very clean! Nice clean gym. Tayler at the front desk was amazing and every worker I met was friendly and helpful.

My husband and I stayed one night at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Dover on September 20, and what should have been a simple stay turned more than 6 weeks of frustration. The room was held on one credit card, but we provided a different card at checkout to be charged for the stay. Despite that, the hotel charged both cards. When we contacted the property, staff admitted their mistake but casually said it would take 7–10 business days to issue a refund. That was almost 2 months ago, and we are still waiting. After numerous calls to both the hotel and Marriott corporate, no one has corrected the issue. Each time I asked to speak with the General Manager, Pia Morris, I was told she was “in a meeting” and would call back. I am still waiting for that call. This experience has been both infuriating and deeply disappointing. The complete lack of accountability and professionalism is unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one bearing the Marriott name. If this is how the Fairfield Inn & Suites Dover handles a straightforward $200 billing error, one can only imagine how poorly they would respond to a larger issue or a more serious concern. Their silence and disregard speak volumes. I would strongly advise anyone considering this property to stay elsewhere. There are plenty of hotels in Dover that value honesty, communication, and guest trust. This is definitely not one of them. Spend your money somewhere better.

Property was a good location to Marydell where we were visiting family.

I didn’t like that they changed linens or take out trash in your room every two-three days. I think they could at least at the very least empty trash & make beds everyday. I gave it a low score due to lack of service they provided. However when I brought it to their attention they did pick up trash if we left it outside our room and they did bring us clean linens (towels)upon request. I probably won’t stay here in the future.

The breakfast had the most options for food that I have seen at any hotel. Food was good great selection. Staff was friendly and helpful. Suddenly I will use them again.

Room was nice but the air conditioning was loud Breakfast and ok. Didn’t like power eggs and bagels were hard and toaster didn’t work properly
