Hotel et Résidence Esbly

I was going to euro Disney I asked for a cab the man at the desk told me to walk 10 mins to train station and get a bus.

Budget but clean and tidy, attentive staff. Good location and great walks in the surrounding area. Close to train station for Paris. Good selection of restaurants in the area and would gladly stay here again.

You can relax here on the way to Paris, a small intimate rooms with very small bathrooms. Śnaidania tasty, Hot rolls and croisants and excellent coffee compensate for small rooms. If you are a tour guide, you can go ahead and stop here with the students.

Short drive to Disneyland Paris - about 15 minutes. Rooms cleaned everyday. Rooms clean but could be redone - evidence of normal wear and tear. Small LCD TV had a few channels, including CNN. Bars on ground floor windows where we were staying were good as windows could be opened and rooms aired during the day. Lots of good marque cars in the car park - Mercedes, Audis, Volvos so felt safe. Did not unpack suitcases and left them in the car due to other reviewers complaining about thefts. In our experience the staff were helpful enough. Some spoke English, others responded better in French. Shower curtains were ok, water was nice and hot, no need for too much power in the shower as the shower, sinks and toilet are in one room closed off from the bedroom by sliding doors. Kept the doors open to air the bathroom. No frills but good place to sleep, wash and recharge for the next day. Wifi was ok and there is a drinks machine. Ample car park. If we had not come by car, I fear I would have hated it as I am uncertain how easy it really is to get to by public transport and if I were tired and knackered I would not be amused by this back-to-basics room. With the car I was happy enough to consider getting a Balladins discount card as they seem to be a sort of chain.

The hotel is not a 4 star hotel, nor do they claim to be. Contrary to other reviews no one here speaks English, although they try to be helpful. While it's not a far ride to Disney, the taxi drivers WILL try to rip you off. Of six, we have found two honest ones. The hotel provides the name of a small taxi service that charges 20-25 Euros which is fair. We paid 47 Euros to one dishonest driver. The hotel IS NOT air conditioned so it's been tough on us Americans. The room is small, the bathroom is rather odd and there is absolutely nothing nearby. The hotel staff will tell you that you can walk to bus 56 to ride to Disney but it is way too far to walk. The town of Esbly is very pretty and you should drive through it when coming and going to Disney. No easy access to food or anything else if you don't have a car. It is a little unnerving that there is no hotel staff overnight. They cage the office and leave. Not sure what you would do if you arrived to check in after they left. We got what we paid for and what we were looking for, some place to sleep after a long day. Compared to the prices of hotels closer to Paris or Chesly it was worth it. It almost seemed like we were the only ones here, other than the people laughing in the next room at 3 in the morning. Walls are very thin. Not a single car in the parking lot when we arrived and I haven't seen another person other than the two women that work here.

My GPS was having trouble finding the hotel and took me a ways away but finally I found it after some help from an attractive woman at McDonald's.

The walk wasn't as bad as anticipated to the station and many locals friendly when asking for directions. Bathroom door did not slide properly and radiator not working. Staff very welcoming

Very small room, but it was clean, and fine for just sleeping. Only a 15 minute drive away from Disneyland. Overall good quality for money. Negative points: Wifi was slow, and bathroom too small. I filled 'average' for Restaurant/Fitness, because we didn't eat there, and there was no fitness.

I booked a weekend away with my girl friend for Saturday 29/3 to Tuesday 1/4 while booking I was informed that this hotel was only 3km for Disney land, when arriving at Disney land from the airport I discovered that infact the hotel is 9km and €70 in a taxi, due to the expense and inconvenience I booked a hotel closer to the park, I think it is a discrase that false misleading information should be allowed to make a sale and therefore am very disappointed with my experience.

Did not even use the shower. It was filthy. Far from everything . Area smells like a farm. Tried to cancel but they said it could not be done. I should have went someplace else.
