Super 8 by Wyndham Centerville-Richmond

This property is nasty and dirty. The staff are not friendly. The shower curtain had mold on it. The carpet by the front door was stapled together and the floor under the carpet was loose.. They didn't change out the trash. There was only 1 roll of toilet paper. They didn't provide fresh towels until I took the ones that were in the room prior to checking in back to the office and ask for more. The door to the room looked like it had been broken down and put back up. It did not look secure at all. I put the chair in the room under thr door handle.

I've stayed here a number of times over the years and found they have made noticable improvements recently, possibly with anticipation of the eclipse which I'm getting ready to watch right now. The beds are excellent, the towels and bedding are fresh and maintenance responded promptly when a minor adjustment was needed for the toilet seat. They even provided a "survival pack" for eclipse travelers with water and snacks, a very pleasant surprise. I travel to this area fairly often, and plan to keep this as my default stayover location. Totally Recommended.

Check in was easy and the beds were pretty comfortable. The room was large with 4 full sized beds in it.

The location and the building itself looked like a dump. The room was freezing cold and the heater didn't work. The setup was also kinda weird. There was a broken elliptical in the room and the microwave was also broken. Kinda felt more like a storage room for broken things or something. There were 3 round tables with 3 chairs each and extra chairs in a corner. Breakfast, which was included, considered of 2 basic types of cereal and regular slices of bread 😣. It was ridiculous.

Super convenient location, friendly staff, comfy room, good wifi. I got more than I expected for the price!

I have no complaints, all my expectations were either met or exceeded.

We were traveling out of state for a funeral. Upon check-in the staff was very rude. He threw my cards back to me under the window without saying a word. A thank you would've been nice. We were given room 134. As soon as we opened the door, there were blood stains on the comforter. The sheers were dirty and stained. The soap had black scum on it as well as pubic hair. The microwave was filthy. The television didnt work. When we went to the front desk to address this, the staff said that there were workers staying in that room previously and it must not have been deep cleaned. GROSS..We were given a new room but at this point we were so grossed out we couldn't even sleep or relax.

First thing we noticed was a musty smell when we opened the door. The furniture was dated but comfortable. The TV only worked if you stood right in front of it and pushed hard on the buttons. Kinda make a remote useless. The bathroom door would not close and we had to put something in front of it for privacy. The breakfast was a joke.

Unclean room. Not ideal but didn't have a choice.

Checkout

Coffee, juice and dry cereal was the breakfast. Noisy area with people walking outside our room all night. Bathroom door did not shut, shower did not work, room smelled of smoke even when it was supposedly smoke free. Not very clean.
