Hill Country Inn & Suites - New Braunfels, Gruene

Room smelled like cigarette smoke at first entrance, security lock was broken, TV wasn’t getting signal with cable. Beds were comfortable.

You get what you pay for. This property was one of the cheaper postings we saw and we needed a one night stay. They accommodated our dogs and granted the pool was loud. They cleared out by quite hour and things were smooth. Was super skeptical based off online but when I got here a got to my room I was impressed it was pretty clean and I atleast felt comfortable.

Smell was bad very uncomfortable

There were drunk people making out and smoking weed in the pool, the shower didn’t work, there was no coffee in the room.

Very nice people. Hotel is right next to I35 so you can hear trucks all night long. Carpet had lumps in it, bathtub had bugs in it, Floor had burns where a hot iron had been left. The room was clean and the staff was exceedingly nice and polite.

easy access

The only detractor to my stay was the fact that the photos of this property on the app are outdated and this hotel looks NOTHING like them. Also, the advertised queen beds are actually double beds. This is not the fault of the current management, but should be rectified as I wasn't the only person checking in to notice the disparity. That being said, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is friendly. The hotel is within easy distance of many dining offerings and the convention/civic center. Also, the price is very reasonable.

The pictures on hotels.com did not match the description of the facilities. Room temperature in the shower was not easily adjustable Seems to be like false advertisement

There was a bug and no a/c in our first room. The second room smelled like pee then the last room smelled like animals.
