Quality Inn Chicopee - Springfield

I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel was set back from the main road and I heard no road noise. I really heard no hotel noise either. The exterior is nothing special and was a bit hesitatnt the inside would be grim but it was clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable. The refrig and microwave were clean. The hotel is older but is well maintained and the bathroom layout was good. I dislike stale smoke odor and there was none. The heating and cooling was fairly quiet. It was perfect for an inexpensive, 3 day, solo stay.

The property is not well taken care of. It is not well maintenance. The cleaning lady went into our room and managed to knock the new hairdryer behind the refrigerator and then we questioned it’s a disappearance we were told we were being rude. We found the hairdryer behind the refrigerator with a lot of other trash. There was no hairdryer in the room. If we left the room for the whole day, we will come back in the room smelled. The lady that worked at the front desk act like she didn’t want to be there or she had too much work to do and her attitude was just unbearable. Nobody was smiling. These rooms haven’t been updated in years because the TV was at least 15 years old. You couldn’t put a channel number into the remote. You had to put the frequency number in to get the channel to come up and that was confusing. The cleaning people didn’t come on a daily basis to clean the room and we had to request. They go in there and clean the room. The security at the exit was bad because the door had to be left open and you couldn’t use your room key to open the door from the outside because it didn’t function so anybody could walk into the hotel area and steal something and then walk right back out. Bad experience all the way around. I’ll never use Expedia again.

A bit old and run down in places

Room had a terrible odor so we had to blast the ac to make it bearable. TV was unwatchable due to freezing and Static. Remote didn't work at all but was replaced and new remote was difficult to use. Location was good. Plenty of parking. Staff was helpful and polite.

The hallway of hotel had a terrible odor. The room smelled even worse. The heater smelled like it was going to start a fire. Didn’t stay long enough to find out though because there was a roach crawling on one wall and mold growing on another. Went to the desk to inform them of the issues, noticed ants in the lobby. Was offered another room or a refund. Took the refund and went to another hotel. Would recommend staying away from this place!

Wouldn’t recommend for a single young woman to stay here or family. They leave the front doors open because you can’t use your key to get back in after hours which is not safe so anyone can come in, scary.

The hallways had a horrible stench, but the stench in the room was much worse. I planned on staying the week, but checked out after one night.

Let’s give the worst review I’ve ever given. I’ve stayed at MANY quality inns! But, Cockroaches were on the house here. If you’d like to sleep on springs with limited cushion this is your one stop shop. Spend the extra $20 a stay some where else! Staff is nice though.
