Pestana Casino Park Ocean and SPA Hotel

The room was a little tired . Needed decorating and had a shower curtain and small shower head over the bath - shower curtains are unhygienic and the shower should be updated The balcony chairs were like pallets and really uncomfortable No kettle Apart for that everything was fine

It was an excellent stay. Location the best. Walkable to waterfront and local streets with a variety of restaurants. Views are wonderful. Breakfast had many options. Staff polite and accommodating. The refrigerator in the room was inconsistent. Sometimes it was cold and other times it was not working. The mattresses are hard but it did not bother us. Could hear doors in the hallway but again not an issue for us.

Cons: We got a room which felt that wasn’t used for a while with a dust smell, bad bed condition and 1 glass without water or wine like we were promised. At the reception we’ve been told that we’ll get another room, we saw the housekeeping preparing the room which felt again like it wasn’t used for a while (it was the far last room). The room was even worst with dust smell, dirty on the wall and broken sockets. Prons: The manager was nice from the very beginning, she agreed to refund us so we didn’t have to stay at the hotel, I’m still waiting for the refund to appear on my credit card account

We spend 4 wonderful day & nigth in the hotle The entire staff, in all departments, was courteous, polite, businesslike, only wanting to help you enjoy your stay at the hotel and on the island, a staff that provides the highest level of service The breakfast was very rich, clean and aesthetic and when you have to eat early before the flight they have such a service The entire design and planning of the hotel is simply stunning, 3 pools: on the roof, outdoor and indoor, endless seating areas, we didn't want to leave, the location is perfect in the center of Funchal Just a delightful experience. Grade 11 out of 10

I have never stayed in a hotel with so much space in the lobby and the gardens.There were so many different seating areas throughout the property. My only hiccup, please do not close the rooftop swimming pool before sunset actually occurs. We went up to capture the sunset only to find the access to the rooftop pool closed. We really lived the amount of space in our hotel room. We were able to experience sunrise and took amazing pictures. 👏 The buffet breakfast was fantastic each and every morning of our stay. Also really enjoyed the falcon and their trainers - what a unique experience. Obrigada

The room we had looked out over a busy road which was noisy 24hrs a day with cars and people especially at night The hotel was relaxing

A lovely hotel close to the park and a short walk into town. Breakfast and dinner were really nice, with lots of dishes to choose from. The views from the hotel are beautiful. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating areas to choose from, as well as three pools. The staff were helpful. We stayed for four nights and would definitely stay there again.

The property is beautiful and the restaurants, spa and pools are fabulous. Food is great too. Location is fantastic. However, the beds suck! I am not a tiny woman, but thin. The beds are awful!!!! I didn’t sleep much and literally still have physical bruises on my ribs and hips, because I am a side sleeper. The beds are like sleeping on pure coils. Sleep is so important and because of that I will not stay at this hotel again. (P.S. I am sure I am not the only one with this issue. I stayed there because I had no choice and every day, out of 3 day stay, I saw mattresses and beds being moved around the hallway)

It is an excellent hotel and the grounds are amazing overlooking the port and the sea. The pools are brilliant and the room was large and comfortable. I would certainly stay here again.
