Catamaran Resort Hotel and Spa

De locatie is goed, erg leuk aan het strand gelegen

De kamers zijn iets ouders maar goede bedden en ruime kamer.

It was very nice and well kept

The only thing was valet parking. It could of been shortage of staff but when we arrived there was only 1 car ahead of us and the non busy valet person was just hanging around and never approached the car, I had to get off and go ask if he was valet and if they were in service and he was like yeah after I told him we were waiting there he mention oh yeah that they were busy and short staff and he also looked confused on what to do. And at the end of my stay when checking out Valet was not open yet so I had to go get my car out of the lot with all my luggage. I just didn’t think the daily fee for valet parking was worth it for me.

The Catamaran was perfect for a family vacation (parents + 4 year old). The location was great being right on the north end of Mission Bay. The Mission Bay beach access was awesome with chair rentals from the resort and easy access to watersport rentals. The resort's pool and arcade area were very nice. In-resort coffee shop and restaurant was a big plus. The grounds of the resort are beautiful and rooms were well-maintained although a bit dated.

The grounds of this “resort” are awesome. Great for a young family. Lots of things for kids to look at and explore. The rooms do not match having “resort” in the name. They are very outdated…think 1975 decor. We paid around $620 a night for a water view room. We could see the ocean when we were out on the balcony…we could also see the parking garage and the hotel’s restocking station. Got to hear pallets being stacked or moved at 7 am, each morning and one morning someone was using the leaf blower on the pavement of the garage. The following night, our entire floor was filled with high school seniors celebrating their graduation til midnight. I was actually grateful that they settled down at midnight. We did eat in the restaurant one night and received excellent service. The staff at the hotel was very nice, for the most part. My biggest complaint is the price for the outdated, worn out, less than sparkling clean room that we got. Also beware, that there is an additional $45/day charge for parking at the hotel.
