Pagosa Lodge

The place is not very clean, looks like it’s under renovations for new management, not sure if there’s a sewer plant nearby or if it’s their septic with the room smelled in the morning, the practice that they offer was subpar. We got there around 7:30 in the morning. There is no cereal. Very little options. Tables were dirty. I would not say that again the staff was one person. She was nice, but the accommodations were very lacking.

This hotel is in very bad repair. Maybe it was nice at one time, maybe it will be again. But in july 2025 it is a rundown motel 6 dump with holes in the wall, doors that don't shut, broken locks, dirty windows, scratched chipped patched paint walls furniture. At bare minimum get a landscaping crew out. The parking lot is overrun with weeds and dead grass. Leaves a lot to be desired at $200 a night. The staff is unkept and the whole experience was laughable.

The property is rundown. The ceiling was leaking on the 3rd floor by the elevator. The breakfast area floor wasn’t cleaned during our stay.

The hotel smelled like cat pee, very unsafe outside doors would not close, property in disarray. Horrible!!

The property appears to be in the middle of a renovation. While this is good for future guests I can't say the same for anyone staying there until then. The current state of the property is not quite poor, but not great, either; everything just has a run-down quality to it. The fixtures are outdated and everything is just dingy. If there had been "sorry for our mess" signs I think we would've been a little more forgiving, but it just seems the property feels like current guests just have to deal with the state of everythig.

Many things terrific: 2 sinks, plenty of storage space, nice linens and bath amenities! But WC fan didn't work, patio screen had tear in it and fell off rail. 😞

This review is more with Expedia . I booked a lake view through Expedia and paid more for the room but there was not any lake view rooms. The staff called me to let me know that they do not offer lake views . I still got charged for a lake view and did not receive a lake view. The staff was great but the property wasn’t for me.

The first room they put me in had a non-functioning shower. You couldn’t turn the water on at all. I don’t know why housekeeping didn’t inform them of this. They put me in a new room which was clean and spacious and a working shower. In the morning, they promised breakfast but there was nothing at all. Just coffee in those portable pitchers. And no staff at the front lobby. This place had been closed for a long time so it sounds like they’re having growing pains getting reopened.
