Austria Haus

It was a cute hotel. I liked that they kept the Ali lodge feel and didn’t try to make it modern looking. Our room was sizable and comfortable. Pool and hot tub were nice and had pretty flowers. Easy walk to everything in Vail Village. While some of the staff were not particularly friendly, Paula the concierge was great and helpful. Abraham was good too.

The parking charges: $60 a day!!! Boy was that a nasty surprise. We only paid $35 a day at the equally nice Osprey resort in Beaver Creek. We had free parking in Aspen. And I looked it up - the nicer looking Sonnalp has similarly priced rooms but charges $50 a day for parking so they would have been a better deal. The breakfast was really mediocre if you didn’t like waffles. The eggs were often lukewarm and tasted pre-fab. The fruit mostly looked sad except the little containers of berries that were next to the waffles that I discovered late in our stay. All the good views seem to be in the condo side. One minor quibble but there was no bath wash. They did have soap but I was hoping for bath wash too to wipe off the daily dust from hiking and it seems like a standard thing f to have at most hotels of this price range.

The Austria House is a beautiful property! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The staff were courteous and helpful. The rooms were immaculate and comfortable. It is conveniently located in the heart of Vail Village, close to restaurants and shopping. We will definitely be back for a return visit.

The hotel was a little piece of Europe in Colorado! It was beautiful and clean. The staff were welcoming and friendly!

As a repeat guest the experience was as good or better than before ( it was just at the end of Covid restrictions). Parking is expensive at $60 per night but that’s Vail where there is no convenient parking. Will definitely return and recommend!

Towel linens were frayed and worn

It’s centrally located. It was beautiful and clean.

The rooms were very expensive.

We were welcomed by a lovely gentleman at the front desk. The hotel is very intimate and comfortable, in a perfect location. Our junior suite was very comfortable and for our anniversary we could choose an alcoholic beverage to celebrate! The continental breakfast was delicious! At night we enjoyed the hot tub that was very quiet! Overall, we highly recommend it!

We don’t have anything to complain about!

Cannot go wrong with the Austria Haus.
