We focused more on the good reviews than the low scores. What a mistake. As other reviews tell you, do not be fooled by the lobby of this place. There is nothing charming about the rooms. They are OLD. The bed was too worn out, and should have been replaced years ago. There were only two towels in the bathroom, which were almost see through... almost like old rags. However, what made us most uncomfortable was the door. There was no lock, and the small chain to secure the door had a crooked screw, which could be easily pulled off. Same night we checked in, I went back into Tripadvisor to read the reviews again, and noticed several comments about brake-ins, and in some cases the hotel management seemed not interested to care, and even part of the thefts. Needless to say, we checked out. We had reservations for three nights paid through Travelocity. The front desk manager did not bother to even ask why we were checking out, not did he even offer to reimburse the two nights left. He simply said... "They are paid for already, and it is your decision to check out early". This place is definitely not a place I would recommend. For the price, is not even a place for young people to stay. A true shame as this could be a great hotel.

I will not ever stay here again. Air conditioning did not work. I got switched and the other a/c in the room was making really loud noises at 2am. Breakfast is not good in the restaurant either.

We have a video showing the front desk receptionist giving a copy of our room key card to a guy who robbed us a few hours later. It was a carefully planned robbery. The thief pretended to be a newspaper reporter the day before and asked us a few questions. Under no circumstances should you stay at this hotel. If your company has arranged a conference here ( as did ours) please share this information with them so they unarrange it. I delayed writing the review in case it might somehow influence the hotel's willingness to work with the police. But they didn't do anything anyway and no compensation of any kind was offered for their blatant mistake. When we came down and reported the robbery the front desk said "you should have kept your valuables in the room safe. There was no room safe. This is a dark place...avoid it.

Since the entrance the team is not prepared to handle large groups, we were part of a big competition team and the hotel staff couldn't handle the situation in several ways. check in was very slow and once we were taken to our room it was in the middle of the cleaning process (9 pm). we need to wait longer. the room condition was ok and cleanness but once we get install we discover that the ac was not working and will not work for the next days. Shower was poor and basically not hot water. Wifi is extremely slow. the restaurant was another patience test, which confirms me that they can't handle large groups. the attitude of service of the people in the restaurant was really good. Will not recommend it until is re-furbished or updated.

A nice hotel for the money.The only bad things were they don't carry washcloths so to bring your own.called maintenance up a few times to fix toilet that wouldn't flushThey never resolved the problem there.noticed the water level was to low in the tank so I adjusted the float myself after the third day and it worked well after that.

Great location if you plan on going in to the city or visit other cities of Guanajuato

The shower water had extreme temperature changes. From freezing to boiling

We had a next door neighbor smoking all night we call the staff unfortunately they have to mention our name to stop the people smoking!
