Big Bear Lakefront Lodge

I like the fact you can open sliding door to sit at balcony to see lake. Unfortunately, the room was pretty dirty for example, found coffee grinds in sink, tub was very dirty, nylon sock found between bed and chest. Also, the bed springs felt like they were coming through the bed and pillows were so uncomfortable . In addition, you have the smallest TV for the area and you can't even adjust the volume from the Roku device. You have to literally go to TV to adjust the volume. sink

Great time!

The place is great with the view but we were not fully comfortable during our stay. The heaters weren’t working well, it was too cold at night — they started working around 7-8am when we were awake and ready to leave. Also, face towel in the bathroom was dirty. Upon showering, heater goes on too hot and then suddenly too cold without adjusting anything. Also found some white spots and stains near the kitchen sink area.. The staff were really nice and entertaining though, I wish the place was just cleaner and comfortable.

The place was beat up. Old and half of the appliances in working conditions.

This was the most uncomfortable room i have stayed. The hotel was not handicap accessible. The only seating was on barstool style chairs at a table that the relacement tv was propped up on. I requested additional towels and wash cloths(2 of each) but not enough was available. The room made you feel uncomfortable that you did not want to be in it.

The view is nice even the decor for hotel is nice. Just some old outdated smell inside the room that unpleasant. In the beds is only have thin comforter. The thick blankets inside cabinet we just find it in the morning by the time we’re leaving. So we have to turn in the gas fireplace at night to keep us not freeze. My daughter felt like out of air in the room because the gas fire place. For adventure the room is nice overlooking the beautiful lake. For comfort need to get rid of the old smell don’t know how. I feel my clothing smell that way too when I got home. But the check in guy is very helpful giving us map and where interesting thing to go. TV is not working but there’s lots to see rather than watching TV.

The hotel rooms are very clean end the staff very nice and friendly.

Would not stay here. The people do not communicate with you when amenities are not available and refuse to give you a refund. Give you attitude that you are unhappy with what little service they are willing to give. Especially the office staff.

Beware…..The property is pretty run down and our room #8 didn’t have any toilet paper, bath towels, hand soap or shampoo. The room itself looked dirty and we weren’t sure about sleeping in the rickety beds and what might be in them. It did have a nice view of the lake, but there was a large party of people right outside our room with lots of kids running around, playing basketball and smoking pot. You could only use 1 chair on the balcony as the other was broken. There are lots of nice places to stay in Big Bear. This is not it! We checked out and went to another hotel without staying overnight. They would not refund out money.
