Holiday Inn Express Laguardia Airport, an IHG Hotel

Everything was great about this property, very clean and breakfast was pretty good, good variety to choose from cereal, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, sausages, bacon, yogurt, bagels etc.. One tip I would give people is to wake up early for breakfast because certain things they might of offered that day if they're out, they wont restock. Like the yogurt or fruit cups they might out put out that day. Everything about this hotels was great except that I would of loved it if they're rooms were a little more "sound proof" I guess you can say... the doors of the rooms shut pretty loud and hard and since room doors have a small gap under door it sounds VERY LOUD in the room when peoples doors shut and people are in hallways talking. I dont know if its a travelocity deal thing but seems like every time I book travelocity I get a room right by the elevators which are pretty loud areas... Also, if you want to take the subway to times square I recommend to def. wait for shuttle its a long walk to the nearest subway, to me it was about 30min or so. The front desk will probably say 15 min like they told me but IT WAS A LOT FURTHER THAN 15 MINUTES. The R train will take u straight to times square and back. Area was pretty safe, and mall and restaurants near subway station where shuttle picks up and drops off.

The property is in central place, the are customer friendly and they have excellent service.

The only thing i liked was the size of the room and that it was close to the elevator.

Nice staff. But shuttle service too slow. They made me wait an hour before telling me that the shuttle service will pick someone else out of turn. I almost lost my flight because of that.

I liked the staff and the shuttle to the mall, baseball field, and airport. I didn’t like that I thought it was a little bit closer to everything when it really wasn’t. The carpet on the main level stairs to go down to the bathroom was really dirty and worn.

The driver of the Shuttle has misinformation- departures on upper area is open - I was dropped off at the baggage area shortly after 4:30 am - luckily there were 4 or 5 people around or I would have been left in the area alone to get to the ticketing area by myself. Very dangerous for customers. This was the only bad experience I had at hotel
