Bishop's Lodge, Auberge Collection

Great fun. Very personable staff, always willing to help 24 hrs a day. Beautiful, rustic setting. Bring your walking shoes. Lots to walk and hike to. Hot but dry and 7000 ft high, and no mosquitos. If you are into art Santa Fe has plenty. Take the tour, very interesting.

Great place

We had a wonderful experience at Bishop's Lodge. We especially loved how dog friendly they were and even had an insane dog set up waiting for us in our room with toys, treats, bowls, beds and super cute bandanas! The dogs absolutely loved it and everyone was so nice and welcoming to them. We really loved the hiking trails surrounding the property as well. Our room was incredible with the most comfy bedding, pillows and bed. The design is on point! The property itself is stunning with beautiful landscaping and sweet little sitting areas. This place is the perfect little gem tucked away just minutes from the downtown. We will definitely be back!

Came to Bishops Lodge with our 86 y/o mother. We had been to the property in 2011. What a wonderful change! We enjoyed the stay so much we spent an extra night. Had the best massages at the Spa Dance, enjoyed horse back riding with Jeff and Ricky on Roney and Amigo! We ate delicious food at the SkyFire restaurant every day. Took advantage of the water color painting and star gazing events. Loved it all! Benji

We loved the property, the food, and the staff. Just a great place to celebrate our anniversary. One piece of feedback - unfortunately, we were disappointed by the massage experience. Two things specifically: 1) the massage quality: the masseuses lacked the skill we'd expect from a luxury spa. The massages felt generic / not personalized to our bodies. 2) the facilities: the amenities were severely lacking compared to what we'd expect at an Auberge property (e.g. no steam room, sauna, plunge pools, etc). As a result, we were in and out of the spa very quickly and didn't feel like we had a great opportunity to fully relax. We truly value great service and know that not every experience can be perfect, but we did want to provide this feedback given we would've expected a better experience (particularly for the price we paid).

Bishop’s Lodge is a gorgeous property with wonderful amenities and lots of activities! The spa and fitness center were both well appointed. Our group took over the Bunk House and we loved the private “lodge” vibe and having our own common space. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. And we loved our guided experiences/ horseback riding, hiking and fly fishing.

A great resort, but not without it’s imperfections Beautiful surroundings, wonderful accommodation and good service including the use of very upmarket self drive vehicles and a very knowledgeable Concierge. The senior staff were helpful in dealing with some of the hotel issues we experienced during the course of our 4 night stay

Love the Bishop's Lodge. Had not been there in many years. Some changes since last time but all for the better. Staff is awesome. Rooms are the best of any you will find anywhere. (no kidding) If you ever go to Santa Fe, do yourself a favor and spend at least one night at the Bishop's Lodge.

Overall, a lovely stay! The staff were exceptionally friendly, the pool was nice, the cocktails and breakfasts were great and the free rides into town were very much appreciated. The bed in the room was extremely comfortable and solid, which we appreciated (the lighting in the room, however, could be improved). The only issues we encountered in our stay were some noisy neighbors above us and also loud construction happening on the breakfast terrace that seemed like it should have waited for another time. I'm also concerned about the water pollution issues that we were made aware of around the resort. I understand the resort has taken steps to address this, but it seems like the community still isn't satisfied. I would hope that the resort would come to the table to address the community's concerns directly and engage in full transparency about where the effluent is being discharged and how it's being monitored for possible pollution into the environment and the community's water supply. As a guest, I felt bad that I might be contributing to this issue. If I came back, I would want to know that the community's concerns have been fully addressed.

To be honest, I was very disappointed with the Bishop's lodge. The service was great, the hotel was nice (a littel out of the way) and the room was lovely... but the shower in my room was a trickle of water. For an $800 a night room, you would expect to have a shower that you can rinse the shampoo from your hair.
